They do but we need one if not both to be stars. To early to call that.
That is the main concern, you need a top level star who can turn a game, closest you have is J Steven if I had to guess? Ross is pretty damn effective as well.

Coff and Roberton on the half-back line could be really damaging, add meaningful drive along with Savage who cut us up last time IIRC.

Edit: Forgot Billings who could end up a star with more consistency

Lukosios who is the highest rated player in the draft, you always go best available with pick 1

We like to do things a little bit differently at the Saints. We go for needs with pick 1 and then draft the best available with later picks. The end result = 15 half back flankers on our list:eek:

Gilbert on Curnow is the worry, Stop Curnow and we should win
I actually think it works.

You know what you’ll get with Gilbo: 100% effort, athleticism, defensive application, tackling pressure... just don’t let him near the ball offensively.

Disagree. It carries a good positive energy within the group.

- The way the Dogs players got around Clay Smith in his injury comeback game in 2016 v Swans.

- The way the Cats players got around Daniel Menzel for his injury comeback game a few years ago.

- The way the Swans players got around Alex Johnson for even just making it back to playing in their reserves team.

There’s a feel good vibe that resonates through the squad when an injury riddled player makes it or makes it back

The most injury riddled player in the game over the last 5years May finally get his debut... Can’t see how that wouldn’t have positive influence on the squad
The way we got around Jason Cripps in 2001 when he came back after a couple of years out. You could sense a special night when he kicked the first goal.

We ended up losing by 100+ points and the coach got sacked.

Gee, thats um, mighty tempting
You see this hesitation is why Carlton will always be at the bottom. If you had an elite culture and were a top team like Richmond or North Melbourne, you'd snap that tasty deal up in a split second and throw in a Docherty to sweeten the pot. #culture

Great write up OP!

Hoping for a good game but realistically you should absolutely smash us tomorrow.

Sorry for the intrusion and good luck!
This game stinks of a boil over from miles away, definition of a danger game if ever there was one. Usually pretty optimistic coming into most games but got a s**t feeling about tomorrow. Whoever loses will get absolutely slaughtered next week pillar to post.

I'm sure you could find a way to forget about it for a minute or two.
