Rob was terrific as our dinosaur ruckman
Ellis Yolmen a beast
Tex and Sloane stood up as our captains in the last.

Bad
Douglas fingers crossed he's dropped

Ugly
Can't think of anything

Can’t think of anything? Our forward coach must come in for criticism, up until the last 5 minutes our forward line was a train wreck. Does Hart instruct JJ to always be behind his opponent when the ball comes in? Frustrated the heck out of me.

Yes but Don said Greenwood and Mackay were rested because of the 5 day break.

Now if you don’t believe what he said about Mackay, how can we believe his explanation about Greenwood?

Especially after Hart on selection night explained Greenwood’s omission as Crouch coming back and them having one too many inside mids and Douglas preferred up forward.

Greenwood didn’t play in the middle, only up forward after Lynch was out, so which mid was he coming back in for against Richmond?

Also did Don say Greenwood and Mackay were coming back in against Richmond or did he mean they were rested from today to give them a couple of fresh players in case they were needed?
After Sloane was injured against Brisbane, Greenwood had a higher load... so no surprise we tried to rest him til Lynch was injured.

Watch Mackay come in as a fresh wingman, probably for the Seed this week.

It's smart player management for us to use our depth when we have 5 day breaks.

Some of those melting on selection night are clueless of player loads. ;)

Godden said we were intending to rest Greenwood so I trust him over Hart.

It was the latter for certain.

And that’s why we should prefer Greenwood up forward
Greenwood was an absolute passenger for 95% of the game.

We shouldn't rewrite history because he took one big grab in the last.

Hopefully, it's just that he needs to be managed for a week or two.

Jake Kelly terrific again. That spoil against Cameron where he was gone for all money was outstanding. He's putting together a really consistent season.

You haven’t answered my question, which mid would Greenwood be replacing against Richmond?

Selections turned out 70-30.

Hartigan towelled Cameron and was a total win for Dmac.

Greenwood justified his initial dropping. Kicked that goal but almost single handedly let GWS back in the game in the third with a sloppy missed receive resulting in a goal, a missed mark in the goal square and a bunch of other sloppy work. A net loss. At least he threw himself viciously into tackles to try to redeem his errors.

Douglas was a bad call. Hit that nice lace out pass to Tex early on but otherwise was taking a spot that could've been better spent on McHenry's or Jones' development for a similar return if not better.

We lack players capable of taking a contested pack mark, he did that at a very crucial stage, plus he went at 100% disposal efficiency. So who was the more effective forward, Douglas or Greenwood?

Being Clutchy McClutch Face when it mattered: Tex, Hugh, Rory, Eddie

And RoB

All hail RoB. Mummy thought RoB would be physically intimated. Wrong guy, he loves the rough stuff. Stayed in the contest, on his feet, using his bulk to win the clearance

Harto very good on Cameron. Brouch could’ve been cleaner but his ability to burst away from contest so important
Hartigan’s tackle on Kelly when the game was still close was immense

That’s why
Collingwood will want to trade Grundy for ROB soon at this rate
thats why Grundy only comes in as free agent or nothing. Throw money at one of the lesser name forwards from GWS ie Himmelberg who can take a mark as Walker is a season from being done. Apart from his long kick he offers four decent possessions a game

I’ll answer. Douglas.
Yep... pyke should’ve gone up to dougy at the end of the game and said... “we’re gonna get the lads to chair you off... it’s all over bigfella”...

Douglas’s game tonight reminded me of Thomo’s game against Geelong in 2017..

Throw that supposed $1.5M war-chest for 4 years we have on getting both Rankine and Lukosious back the following year, as other clubs will.
