Larkey tried hard but isn't there yet. At least he stayed involved.

Atu looks very promising and Bonar and Young continue to improve. McKay is a lock.

Phillips isn't anywhere near ready, and he, Powell and Lazzaro should be honing their bodies and skills in the 2's. Scott, Mahoney, Thomas and Hayden should be there with them as all have significant deficiencies. So yeah, * injuries.

Taylor was well involved and should keep his spot.

Effort was good.

* Geelong. That's one hell of a cliff they are facing and they don'thave the breadth of talent and physicality of players to win a flag.

Way to many passengers.

Hayden
Scott
Lazz
Mahony
Phillips
TT

Larkey is not a #1 forward and never will be imo

Umpiring just awful

Can't run games out

HF line was once again a desolate, barron wasteland

Injuries once again. That Jona campaigner needs the arse asap

The HF line issue comes about because they get sucked all the way up the field because of the slow ball movement.

Can’t fault the effort. Skill level really letting us down.

Cunners was back to his best, JZ decent again, McKay gave Hawkins a bath, Atu promising.

We are quickly finding out who is worth persisting with. Couple guys cementing themselves i.e Bonar, Young etc. but a few lads getting found out with Hayden the main one, Scott would want to seriously extract the digit. Mahoney likewise, based on his output this year only a long injury list is seeing him keep his place.

We started really, really well. Plenty of promising signs but we just have to work on skill execution and if players can’t improve we can’t continue to carry them. Get someone else in and see what they can do.

Good effort all in all.

There are a few guys that need a boost of confidence in the VFL, but I'm not sure if we have the replacements to do the job at that moment, we pick up a new injury or three every week.

Powell??

Losing Hall made things a lot harder. He actually adds something that allows us to make opposition more accountable.

Again, we lost but I think the real winner was how we kept at em.

There's so much untouched potential in that brigade and it's missing some mature talent. How we get it would be interesting.

Seriously though if we had our best team out there from the start, who knows?

If we had Geelongs forward line we win.

In fact it's embarrassing they struggled to put us away on their home turf with so much experience on every line.

They won tonight but they didn't beat us.

This would have to be potentially one of the biggest age/experience mismatches of all time. I think they were 4 years/100 games or so average above us today (and 4kg haha)
