Why would Adelaide want to trade out their first round pick to next year? They are trying to rebuild like we are… the sooner they get the kids in the better.

Where there at, getting in the most talent is more important than urgency. I get the impression that outside the first 4, this year's top 10 isn't rated as highly as most years, so it's more likely that we'd say no than them.

I find this hard to believe if Essendon offered a straight out future 2nd round pick. We would only have had to offer pick 27. GWS must really rate the kid highly if they weren’t prepared to take it. Maybe the 3rd was coming back??
