But it was an absolute when people were saying that the unvaxxed were dangerous and should lose their jobs because they’re selfish and it’s through them that covid will transmit. It couldn’t have been more absolute to those, a few around here, when discussing vaccine mandates.

How do you still not ******* get it? The vaccine mandates are ALL about protecting our inadequate hospital systems. Can you imagine the strain they’d be under if we weren’t 90% double vaxed? People who are choosing not to vaccinate ARE being selfish. They are saying to those providing care “we don’t give a * that you have been run off your feet, or that we put you and your families at risk”. If you are unvaccinated you are ten times more likely to end up in hospital. If you know these odds and still choose not to vaccinate, you are a selfish twat.

Which vaccine mandates? Those initiated by governments or the local restaurant? It’s not up to businesses to enforce mandates to reduce hospital admissions. They are clearly doing it because of the perception being vaccinated reduced the spread and it reduces the risk to their customers/employees which clearly isn’t the case if WA won’t even open up with a 90% double vaxxed rate. What happens when the next variant comes along? Will he wait till they have 4 booster shots?

No, preventable measures do work however we had one state that has decided all along to not be like the other States and has had a cavalier attitude to restrictions. It has been gung ho from the start.

The public have decided by themselves to do their own lockdown - no matter what you may think we ain’t going back to what we had pre-Covid-19. Restrictions of varying levels will remain in place.
