Isn't it true that a good commentator tells you more than what you can see on the screen? Romo does that in spades and gives you an insight in to the game that no other colour guy does. Elevates Jim Nantz who struggled with the oft wrong Phil Simms as his partner.

Romo is fantastic. Its not the actual prediction that is good (im sure there are other former players and HCs who could do the same - although from his playing days you could tell he was one of the more cerebral QBs), its the insight he gives that none of the other commentators do.
Some people hate it, but I reckon the majority love his style, and to me thats better than being a boring dime a dozen commentator.

Like someone else said before....he gives insight from a student/master of the Xs and Os, but also retains that excitement and surprise of a fan as a play unfolds and as a game progresses.
