Hello Dockers fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

The Top 10 pick would come from the AFL if we were to get it right?

Sad thing is Schultz is a far superior player to McKay and we'll get less compo for him than the Roos did.
All we have to do is finish bottom 4, offer Schultz a ridiculously high contract offer so that any team he wants to get traded to will have to do the same, or similar. Then bam. Band one compo in the top 5.

The same age rule that screwed us on Hamling would boost us on Schutlz.

As the shock of Schultz trade request settles what is becoming apparent is this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision by Schultz.

He has been in the works with Collingwood for a number of weeks. A four year deal doesn’t appear out of nowhere.

Just goes to show players you think love the club couldn’t really careless. The first serious opportunity Schultz received to leave he took it. I know he received an offer from Hawthorn last year but that was no better than his Fremantle deal.

I noticed that Aiden O’Driscoll won the 20m sprint and got 6th in the 2km time trial at the draft combine. Also Collard won the “agility” test. Would be nice to get some picks so we can consider them. Cal Twoomey rates Collard at 24 and AOD isn’t in his top 30.

It's Collingwood's only viable pick (at this stage)
Have to trade him while he has currency. Is DFA next season, and walks for nothing.
Hasleby needs a public apology for putting this out there as fact

It’s more likely that his family matter has become more of a problem. Freo were aware of the matter but not to the extent it had escalated to asking for a trade.

What then happens is Lachie back in Melbourne and getting some pressure from his other half and her family speaks to his manager. His manager who no doubt had fielded calls (say Hawks, Pies and WB) earlier in the year before Lachie hit games trigger, goes back to these clubs and says incl. Pies:
“Hi Graham - there is a very good chance Lachie will want to explore a trade back home due to some family stuff….etc., are you still interested”

Graham: “S#*t yeh, will get back to you.”

Graham: “How about the four years Freo were reportedly offering plus a games trigger for fifth year”

If a player is involved they need to come here willingly and be prepared to buy-in and stay long term. Not some guy forced out, especially some metro Vic guy.
Yep, they'll just up and leave in a few years again anyway.

Why has he nominated a club though? This late in the game it should be to best deal conjured up by a VIC side for Freo. If he loves the club so much he needs to prove then..cause he’s our heart n soul of the club and we need a big return from him.
Cerra actually helped the club, negotiated with Victorian clubs then picked Carlton. He never had a preference.
Schulz have come out and wants Collingwood. Just fishy

The family matter is a joke of an excuse.

The truth is his best mates Logue and Acres moved to Melbourne and Lachie couldn’t wait to get out he has had this in the works for a while.

The family issue is laughable.

That’s what worries me with Swaggy. He was best mates with Darcy Tucker and good mates wit Logue, Acres and Shoota

Yep, we should back the truck up to Bobby Hills management and then once he agrees to the 6 year deal get him to say his partner wants to come home for the family support as it’s really hard with a young family in Melbourne with no support.

So Schultz gave the club a verbal commitment that he would see out his contract and an intent to work towards an extension. Now we get to deal with this s**t. Lovely.
