Tonight could be the night something in Jayden finally clicked. Playing, possibly ,for his senior career and he went for it and was not out of place.

He led to the ball rather than hoping to get goals out the back. When you're not confident about your place in the team you're less likely to just focus on the simple things. Keep that up and he'll go from strength to strength. Can't wait for him to have a full preseason and be fit enough to run through the middle. I may still see the fishardansin "myboy" brigade run out together. Laverde, Ambrose and Francis.

Also, when Daniher is back we are going to have a squeeze up forward. If Laverde is not fit enough to play midfield in the AFL, then he should be in the VFL playing midfield until he is fit enough.

Like Stringer he adds some presence around the contested ball. Totally negates the need for Myers to return.

Ideally he would also be more of an attacking weapon for us, but he has been very important the last 2 weeks forcing a contest where previously the opposition forces us aside.

When we are winning the clearances it is a plus to force another stoppage.

Room to improve but he has the defence side of things working better and has been used around the stoppages and in the middle. Has not been a clearance winner but his size helps us not get bulldozed out of the way.
