There surely are some non negotiables when playing footy:
If you decide to play extra men back then the opposition should not be able to hit free men in the forward line and should be put under frontal pressure when attacking
Professional footballers should be able to kick and handball to a team mate (in fact that should be able to do so off both hands and both feet).
If you can't run (at speed to catch other players) you need to be really good at something to deserve a place in the team.
There is no excuse to allow a team with nearly 100 more possessions to have 30% Mora tackles than you.
Goal kicking accuracy is the most important skill in football

Letting a bottom 4 side get the jump by 6 goals is certainly a new way to lose but to Essendon really? their last 2 wins were against North and Eagles both by under a kick...
Have we fallen that far? its absolutely embarrassing to use injuries as a out for the players we had more than enough talent on the field to get a win.
Essendon backline contributed to those 100 possessions as we just kept kicking it to them, Scott was so confident we would turn it over he put Merrett forward and kicked 2 in a quarter.
That first half should be studied extensively on what not to do if you want to win a game.

As painful as it is, it doesn't hurt to have a bad year every now and then. Get a high draft pick and a better draw for next season. I back the swans to bounce back quickly unlike Eagles, Nth, Saints etc

Such a bad loss..and as it looks a lot of results went our way this weekend…,all bar the one we controlled
It's absolutely no excuse for the loss because we should've been able to do them comfortably if we played 4 qtrs.....but **** me the umpiring was technical and shit in our game. Compared to the other games it's chalk and cheese.
