A really frustrating watch..Like others have said... Patches of good footy and also utter tripe.

We look so much better when we move the ball fast, we always have. I get playing that way can open you up the other but we need to play more free flowing like we did Rnd 0 to 13 last year.

Need to seriously work on those skills though.

We probably didn't deserve to win but if kinda feels like one that got away. Port just can't play 4 quarters and we had all the chances

Worst ive seen us play for about 5 years the basics in the first 3 quarters were completely absent cant tackle/kick or even do anything.

What exactly did we do in the offseason?

Bad kicking is bad footy. Don't win games going at 30-40% conversion. Least we showed something in the last quarter. Reminds of the GWS final a few years back were we ran over them in the last but kicked like 1.6 to go down by a goal.

Lacked physicality till the last, and polish all game. And positioning in and around the contests was horrible - very few guarding goal side, crumbling packs or hitting the contest at pace.

Nice to see Francis perform strongly. Like to see him stay at Hamlings expense. Hayden and Blakey could have had huge games but their multiple misses ultimately cost us.

We really miss Guldens gut running, positioning around contests and kicking.

Few controversial calls at critical moments - Florent at the end, McLean holding space being called a block, not to mention Butters throws every second handball (one led to a goal).

We are struggling to kick scores that will win games of footy.

I don't understand how he even thought this was a good idea. He was shite first time around, that is the reason he ended up back.

Awful for 3 quarters and ironically in the end kicked ourselves out of it.

Francis was terrific/McLean almost won us the game and lost it on his boot alone

Heeney had 1 & 3 disposals in the 2nd & 3rd quarters. I thought Rowie, Bice, Lizard and Ollie were pivotal. They started it off in the third. Roberts came along late in the third. Heens came along in the last as did Chad. Chad & Lizard were tying really hard in the third but not enough senior players were coming along with them. Lloyd, Heens, Macca, all poor in the third. They all put in the last. Why is it we only play one to two quarters?

Unless our stars are firing we are a really poor team. Our stars are bloody good when they are going but as we can all see they just paper over the cracks.

Skill errors, poor composure and constant fumbles. Really unlike us and that continues to be the theme this season, so so costly.

Thought our contest work was much better, Grundy was massive. However the gulf in cleanliness in traffic was so costly. Butters would get a ground ball then they were out, as for us it seemed we'd fumble twice before getting a handpass out then rush a kick.

Carved up through transition on numerous occasions. Been a big issue this year alongside the missed tackles in def50. Was good to see the pressure and work rate ramp up, just our cohesion seems a complete mess.
