The only soul searching they’ll need to do is to find a second international outside of Evans. Eskinazi did nothing and the Scorchers were so desperate for top order bats they brought in 2 blokes who basically hadn’t played for them in for a knockout game. Bancroft, Evans and Turner all not being there was eventually going to bring them undone.

So sort of like Adelaide losing the 2nd highest run scorer this year (Lynn), and also the leading wicket taker in the comp (Overton).

You realise Adelaide were without Lynn (2nd highest run scorer in the BBL this season) and Overton (Highest wicket taker in BBL this season)? Bottom line is Adelaide outsmarted Perth bowling all spin and executed brilliantly.

There is something great when WA teams lose in Perth. Give them credit they are super passionate and they support hard, but Eagles/Freo, Wildcats in the NBL, Scorchers in the BBL losing at home, it's stunning to see the complete one sided crowds sink into their seats.

If they had any kind of ability to acknowledge when an opposition player does something good/impressive in any sport, we wouldn't hate them so much. But they just can't.

I thought it was done after the Bazley wicket and that the Scorchers would cruise to chasing a mask total of 110-120. Turns out even that would've been enough. Good batting at the end to get to 155 and even better spin bowling to bowl them out for 105.

Either way, the Sixers should win it from here. They haven't been weakened like others have with losing players to other tournaments which, IMO, is the biggest issue facing the league.

Recon the Scorchers should consider Stoines in BBLXV.His heart wasn't with the Stars ,this season
Perth also need to secure a leg spinner.In BBLXV .Adelaide will have Boyce,Pope and probably Rashid.Would take any of thoes options with open hands.
If Adelaide get through the Heat.Recon thoes leggies will reak havoc on the SCG.Despite Adelaide's terrible record V the Sixers.

Can't agree about Stoinis mate, the guy is cooked and has been for some time, and the last thing PS need. Agree about Agar though, was very disappointing and needs to be moved on, along with Eskinazi and Whiteman. The divide between Tye's best and worst also seems to grow each year.

Kill their comp? It looked pretty dead when I was watching the Auckland v North Dists At Eden park on tv yesterday and honestly their was about 2 people and their dog in the crowd watching it. They should have been playin on the #2 ground next door.

Interested to see the Strikers lineup tomorrow night. Feel like Bazley at 7 is a waste but the cupboard is so bare. Nielsen and Kelly are at the very least 1 spot too high at 4 and 5, IMO 2 for Kelly and about 4 spots for Nielsen.

Only options really are Hunt and Kann. Feel like Hunt can only really open so would have to mess with a winning formula, I'd go M Short, Hunt, Weatherald, D Short, Kelly, Manenti, Nielsen in that case or if Kann is in the side you'd have to slot him in between the two and keep Kelly at 4.

Kelly has never done anything, he averages 19 FFS. I have no idea why he is in the team beyond being quick around the field.
