Agar has been one of their better players, it's the batting that is the Strikers problem, they need hitters in the middle order, Renshaw and Wells aren't the answer.

Wes Agar in Punter's BBL team of the year, can't fault that, he's been good.

The Strikers should have bowled his 4 overs early instead of pissing around with Head and O'Çonnor.

Why is Dizzy Gillespie so highly rated as a coach? He's dumber than Boof Lehmann, why would you sub out Worrall ahead of O'Çonnor?

Take out that one fluke innings and it was exactly that it’s nowhere near that. If anything they should have subbed OConnor out who is an utter dud

I'd be pissed if I was Worrall, great swing bowler that has taken early wickets for the Strikers and gets the hook ahead of a grade level spinner like O'Connor.

Punter also was picking Burns in the test team. The only thing bowling his overs earlier would have meant for an earlier finish to the game.

We were definitely the worst side out there but happy for the win.

We were just lucky that we were playing the strikers instead of a good side. Lets not forget the strikers had us 7 wickets down in our first meeting at the gabba and still almost lost the game.

Hoping we play a lot better against the Thunder.

That is definitely not what I took from this game. We made it far more difficult than it should've been yes but I don't really feel we were ever behind in the game nor in any real urgent danger since when Pierson came to the crease.

Disappointing? Yes
The worse team on the night? Far from it

Agree with your appraisal but wouldn't count on those players not being back next time. I don't know who's in charge of assembling the squad but the Strikers seem to be a thoroughly amateurish outfit - they fill the squad with the same kind of mediocre players every year, get the same mediocre results and seem content to be perennial also-rans. It's hard to muster much interest as long as the organisation isn't serious about winning the comp.

....and? All 4 of those blokes deserve to be forgotten about/ignored/played beneath their station. Literally noone looks bad here except anyone expecting better for a certain state's alumni
