There are some things our club does very well & injury management doesn't appear to be one of those... so we need to recognise there is a major problem & not cover-up with BS & do something about it. This may mean bringing in better staff to have that best practice footy department Fagan promised us.

It's hard to win a flag at the best of times, let alone if hamstrung by injuries keeping many of your best players off the park..
But if we talking about sacking Burton, his remit is not just HP.

Agreed.

My issue is with Hass not Burton, but Burton is responsible overall for fixing it as his personal appointment.

Yes we do we need to recognise there is an issue and it does not seem to be going away, And yes we need a good review, not some half arse internal review. or as you say a cover-up.
Ask the Club contact Rod Jameson put the pressure where it should be, at the doorstep of the club
To be honest, if some of the members spent as much effort talking the club as they performing a witch hunt it may help but in order to be heard make you comment respectful, Demand a Full Review.
1 voice is not enough 20,000 plus voices is different.

I’ve sent him an email, no response to date.

A mate of mine has suggested we all send emails with Full Review of Fitness department in the Title.
And any Tex messages, Twitter, Facebook, with a similar hashtag, or whatever they use
As I have said 1 means nothing 20,000 plus tells a different story,

Was he also responsible for our footy department's trading period and drafting - or only the stuff that hasn't worked?

Are we asking Pyke to resign too because of the GF performance?

So we should keep Burton because Hamish Ogilve and Justin Reid seem to be doing a good job ?

I am not interested in giving him credit for other people's work I am more interested as to .............

Who recommended/brought Matt Hass to the club?
Who brought Collective Minds to the AFC even after it failed in Brisbane?
Who brought in Kangatech this year?

Here's a hint, they are all the work of one particular individual.

I don't care whether he's an ex player or not, everything that Burton has touched has turned to shit and has potentially ruined our season.

Trying new ideas is fine, but the reality is that if they fail (and Burton now has three massive failures) then you need to be prepared to fall on your sword.

If this club was actually serious they would be asking some serious questions about his competence for the role.

So he doesn't get credit for other people's good work, but he takes the blame when other people stuff up?

So let me get this straight.

Burton recommends Matt Hass to the club, Matt Hass has been failure yet it's apparently not Burton's fault for bringing him in.

Burton is the one who brought in Collective Minds (which there has been a shit storm about it) yet it's not Burton's fault for introducing it.

Burton brings in the Kangatech program this year and it has resulted in more hamstring injuries, but once again it is not Burton's fault for introducing it.

How are any of the above examples blaming Burton for other people's stuff ups ?

To me each of them are something that Burton has been directly involved in.

Hey they might have played him if they needed to.. we have no evidence to suggest they wouldn't have, but that is actually worse if we planned on playing him with "Awareness"
My take is that review of the process found that the hamstring victims had minor symptoms, awareness if you like, a week or 2 before their injury. These would usually be ignored but now are taken more seriously given the circumstances.
Basically the club stuffed up and are now playing catchup. Hardly ideal but what else can they do?

whilst i understand that may well be the case, how does he get "managed" and put as an emergency? Do they just not want to name a 4th player? not like we were out of players.

Ken:

"There's some risk with any hamstring return and Chad might be at risk tomorrow, but we understand those risks and we're prepared to take them."

Wow this is dumb clearly he's not ready to go but there going all in due to the massive baking they have had this week

Hope Poholke takes his opportunity this week. There's something to the kid IMO. Not sure he's starting 22 without the injury list this year, but I see something there.
I’m gonna say it now because as soon as I do it will be the opposite.

Poholke wont make it at AFL level and will play shit against Port. Just like I accurately predicted fat slow ginger Tom Lynch would be a plodder destined to plonk around the wing somewhere for the Bays.

I respect your play here. I used the same tactic and tipped the Swans to beat us as I knew my poor tipping form would be enough to Jinx them into a loss!

This is the ultimate troll by port. A player that had done a proper hammy coming back earlier than expected playing against a team who seem to regularly under deliver on recovery times...

Either they're slow on the uptake and have only just figured this out a week ago, or they're flat out lying.
Both are a worry.

He won’t play, not after he’s publicly stated there’s a risk. He’s playing games.

He's a massive risk. Hamstrings are typically at least a 19 day injury and he is returning after 14 days.
