Oh the whole 13 tap wins in 4 quarters was massive by Bellchambers. It was a diabolical decision. We won easily the last few weeks with Ryder rucking, why change it? Especially against a side who has one ruck with Reid as the 2nd ruck!

Yes it did allow for Ryder to play well but the lack of contribution from Bellchambers essentially made Ryder's contribution almost negligible.

So who gives Paddy a chop out in the ruck if TBC doesn't play? Who goes forward to provide the extra target when Carlisle is getting double teamed?

TBC - There's also the fact ryder has been going it almost alone for the whole year. Playing more forward possibly the only way we can have a fresh ryder for finals.

Sydney got into their heads with the relentless pressure. This limited first-touch possessions and resulted in hurried disposal. This combined with Sydney's better spread from congestion (& free kick discrepancy) is why we lost.
The big positives are that we were never blown away, Hurley continues to build, and there were many players who had below-par games and can give us more in games to come.

One of the things l noticed tonight was our tackling, you watch the Hawthorn v Sydney game and every tackle a Hawthorn player lays pins the arms, stops the ball from coming out and a stoppage occurs. Our tackles tonight were often flimsy and allowed the Sydney player to free his arms and dispose of the ball, often to a teammate. That is one area we need to improve if we are to beat top 4 sides.

Well Hibberd wasn't there for **** sake, Membrey is a key forward. Hurley, Hooker and Fletcher were all needed down back. Look Bellchambers was poor but Pyke was hardly influential either, yes he won the hitouts but as I said we won the centre clearances so wasn't any damage done, Ryder was a winner up forward for us so if TBC wasn't there then we would have been worse off, why is this so hard to understand?

Loved this long bomb from Myers, it was nicely set up by the Zerret tackle on the AOTY who threw the ball and tried to con the ump that he hand balled it. I don't blame him for trying his luck with the umps, he's had a good run with them so why not?

Expected a loss.. expected to be reamed by the umpires.. pretty standard night.

I understand completely the structure point with TBell.. but he was poor and it slowed the entire team down.. it was the wrong selection for the conditions.

J Merrett needs a rest or a wake up call.. he is nowhere near it right now.

Colyer has speed but his disposal is shit and can't pick up the ball one grab to save his life.. cost us dearly several times tonight.

Our foot skills are beyond deplorable.. painful to watch.

Umpires did NOT cost us the game.. but that doesn't excuse the blantant cheating that occurs everytime we play Sydney.. it is pathetic to watch.

The boys were so fumbly. Were much cleaner in the third quarter and guess what? We get the goals.

I can't wait until Hibberd, Daniher and Watson are back. Some players need a spell in the seconds.

Hurley was very good

I want to see Dell'olio get a full game.

I also think that Colyer has been alright. Great to have his pace in the side
