They do have hungry jacks franchises though.

You dont have HJ's where you are? Even Darwin has them.

Pretty sure you pay more than $1 to buy though!;):thumbsu:

More like $1,000,000 per site like McDonalds. It's just a guaranteed investment for life.

The AFL cant stop coaches or players making investments. Thats happened forever. Every now and again your hear about an ex AFL player in court over a failed business venture they entered into when playing. Often property deals. Im sure there are plenty of introductions made to assist players 'invest' and get guaranteed returns. And HJ's is as open a business deal you will get withe ATO and every other regulator lining up keeping an eye on things.

Totally different to a back room deal with a hand shake and cheap land and housing being supplied as a sweatener.

No WA team cant be picky.

They dont have regular father sons, AFL assistance packages, 9 other clubs 1 hr away and cheap land packages to poach players to help rebuild lists.

LOL you have an entire STATE that basically recruits WA kids early for you as they are getting ready to join the AFL.

All are basically fed the, “Don’t you want to grow up being an Eagle like all your heroes you grew up watching?”

Heaps of guys will request to go Home to WA and majority will be to the Eagles.

You can’t play victim or cherry pick to make a point.
You benefit from the exact same system everyone else does in some certain way.

But that’s beside the point, Dev has to weigh up if he reckons he’ll be a part of the Lions Premiership window or if he values bigger contract/going back Home.

Neither is the incorrect move. People value things differently.

This might be for you. Have a read.

Either takes a shorter deal on less $ in Brisbane and contends for a spot and a flag or goes home to WA for a long term deal, guaranteed spot in the 22 on good dollars and free HUNGRY JACKS

Rumour has it he has resigned, good on him, I think it’s best for both sides, he gets to try contend for a flag and eagles don’t have a role player on a 4 year contract and keep there 2nd round draft pick. Win win

Martin more of a success than Wingard for hawks
That is objectively false. Take a look at bnf results or any combination of stats. In terms of cap they were about even, but output is starkly different.

Wingard cost a horrific price in trade capital though, and to that extent was a horrendous error by hawthorn, in contrast obviously Martin was free due to PSD.

That is what happens when you don't understand where your list is at, and a big part of why clarko eventually lost his job.

Would be surprised if Dev left after just experiencing that GF, stoked that he broke into the team for the 2nd half of the year and played through all of our finals, held his own on Saturday, earnt it too and wasn't handed his spot.

He is not silky smooth but he is a genuine tough nut and probably one of the better tacklers on our team, plays the role of defensive forward flank quite well, isn't a role that gets rewarded with massive stats.

Except he didn’t register a tackle on Saturday.

What's he worth? he has a lot of potential not sure he will get midfield time at the Lions if isn't even getting it with Ashcroft out.

Not a hope in hell either of those pics are used for Robinson.

Future first for Dev and we will give you back a future second. Back west coast in to win the flag next year.

Eagles #19 or an F2 would be ample seeing it gets pushed back this year and next year Lions have Levi Ashcroft to get points for
Got another fringe player in mind that we could use pick 1 on?

There’s no way a fringe best 22 player who is out of contract when we have pick 1 in the PSD is attracting a pick as valuable as the first of day 2 draft day. You’d imagine it’s a third rounder if he wants to come.
