I have to ask AmericanCrow

Ravens win - how do you feel?

Pittsburgh lose - how do you feel?

What if you put these 2 together?

You just have to barrack for the 0-0 scoreless tie

There is no winning that one ;)

Am in Pittspuke tomorrow, so I will be subjected to the following:

1) poor us on our third quarterback

2) that was an unfair/illegal/mean hit on our 2nd quarterback

And I will realize they are serious

And I will shake my head at Pittspuke fans capacity to

1) ignore the fact that Cleveland endured this on a regular basis and that Pittspuke pain is neither new nor especially uncommon

2)ignore the fact Pittspuke regularly maims opponents quarterbacks and that is just “playing football”

I think I will need to point out they traded their #1 pick in the draft to make them feel better

:)

Imagine Carlton and Pittsburgh at a trading table together :poo::eek:

Outstanding reference

I will steal that tomorrow

“You are the Carlton of the NFL”

Those mutton heads will think I am comparing them to cigarettes lol

Interesting story from Ben Graham when he was in the NFL they had a team dinner not long after the draft and it’s apparently the responsibility of the first player in the team to pay for the dinner.
Ben said he was interested to see the bill when the young bloke got it and it was 105k
The other team members had ordered expensive bottles of wine and spirits to take home.
Haha

Happens all the time

Rookies pay for meal, carry equipment to locker room, etc

varies from team to team but all do some sort of thing like that

Browns in 70’s used to tell rookies they could drive out 40-50 miles south of Cleveland to pick up a free turkey for Thanksgiving

several rookies every year would fall for it

one guy fell for the same trick 2 straight years (not a rocket scientist)

his name became Joe “Turkey” Jones

It’s more so the money difference, that’s like 150% of a 1st rounders wage in the AFL

Agreed it’s obscene

it’s more than most Americans make in a year
