He's right this week though.
We really do need an away win.
If only to stop the narrative about us.

Having said that, we're an easy target.
Brisbane are "officially back" after beating Collingwood and Essendon

He's right about the away win. What was superfluous and inflammatory was this part: "The only way to stop the negative narrative they loathe..."

It makes it seem as though the Eagles try to control the press in the same way that China and Russia do

I must admit, I wasn't unhappy when I heard that Brad Scott once had Barrett in a headlock at a boozer.

Everyone's mate Jon Ralph calling the upcoming WCE v Dockers game a Showdown at half time of the Haw v Ade game.

Josh Kennedy: Steadied them early

Nic Naitanui: Outleapt, outpointed Darcy

Andrew Gaff: Typically prolific, tireless

Brad Sheppard: Wise defensive head

Jack Petruccelle: ‘Almost’ kinda day

Nathan Vardy: Played through pain

Jack Redden: Influential, underrated accumulator

Dom Sheed: Got on top

I mean he's trying to be complimentary, but someone wanna let Kingy know where Oscar played yesterday

Hmmm... King is usually one of the better ones with his observations, but this is wildly off the mark.

The thing that makes the key forwards of West Coast hard to defend is that they do cover a lot of ground, providing marking targets high up the wing and then darting back inside the attacking 50.

Also quotes running 12km a game - Darling clocks up figures like that regularly and Allen did exactly that against Collingwood.

Disappointing comment really.

He's from the old school special comments and analysis group that makes observations on vibes rather than actual footage and stats. There's still a fair few like that, or just as bad only from stats.

"Reporter Tom Browne on Monday told Triple M McCartin is likely looking at a suspension between four and eight weeks. “It can only be described as a pretty wild, Andrew Gaff, Barry Hall-like punch,” he said."

Surely Gaff has a case for slander.

Well no, because he was found guilty.

Are you joking?

McCartin had averaged 20 disposals and 8.5 marks per game through the competition's first two weeks, but suffered a hand injury later in Saturday's game that forced him from the field.
