Haydos said it earlier. The sedate start to the run chase caused that.

He had to go hard, and Turner has to as well. Finch, Marsh and Usman more at fault for this.
It's kind of a weird one psychologically that Finch going out early made Marsh and Ussie bat more gingerly, because when the opener goes out that early it really shouldn't factor in at all in play style. You just need to play as if you're opening with the two guys at the crease rather than trying to steady the ship or anything.

Happens at all levels of cricket. Lose one and the next bloke doesn’t want to start a collapse.

This imo is why I doubt we win the World Cup, England are showing an ability to score 330-350 in the last 2 years. I don’t think this crop of players has that gear.
