I mean like all their players, was May not one of their players??
Amazing how the simple facts bamboozle the simple minds.Nobody poached Martin. He requested a trade two years running. Thats not Carlton luring him away, thats Gold Coast unable to keep him.

Yes, you are beneath me.From the king of simples.
Ah scrimshaw senior back at it.GC at the time (end 2017) , had sacked the coach, most assistants, head of football, CEO, psychologist, the entire player welfare department, and the list manager who believed in the players and got them to the club. Captains, Ablett, Lynch and May left by 2018.
A slightly tumultuous period you might say.
Scrimshaw requested a trade with 2 years to go on a contract. He averaged 24 poss in the NEAFL off half back, was emergency for 5 of the last 6 games and was running 15k games by mid season after the loss of a close family member, an interrupted pre season, a fractured cheek and being KO’d in another game.
Above are the facts.
The Suns also stated to the media at the end of 2018, they had salary cap issues with 4 of their 2016 draftees (Scrimshaw being one of them) going into back ended contacts and that they would invest in more player welfare resources to help player retention.
It is understandable that a Suns fan or even a club staff member would look to find fault in a player who leaves by suggesting an “attitude issue”.
Most would agree an “attitude” under the above circumstances is a bi-product of the clubs circumstances at the time, it is not the cause of those circumstances.
Fortunately the Suns do appear to be in a much better place now and on the right track. This is no doubt, due to some hard work being put in at the club.
...the family you speak of remain strong Suns supporters and wish nothing but success for the club and the friends they made there.

What's a scrimshaw?Ah scrimshaw senior back at it.
Scrimshaw was emergency in 5 of the last 6 games when we had 23 players fit players to choose from.
As you say the environment was not suitable for everyone. Some players like Bowes, macpherson, Miller, witts etc took it on themselves to be part of The change. Others wanted it to happen for them.
People who use points System as an argument don’t really understand the points system. The Suns lost over 400 draft points in the deal, the equivalent of Pick 40ish. We thought we were taking Martin for free. Turns out they're actually paying us to take him.
GC is such a tin pot operation.
What position is jack training in ?GC most talented player and out of contract. Will he stay or go back to Perth?

True, but a club allowing a talented player to walk for zero picks/points, have no understanding of business strategies/success
So funny to see the Blues fans losing it and throwing laughable insults like “ you will fold” at the Suns but almost every other club supporter laughing at them on another massive fail.
Only thing that will make it funnier is if Melbourne pick him up
SOS laid down a s**t sandwich expecting us and or the Swans to pick it up and now all he has is a soggy s**t sandwich.
Looks like a great pick up - but yeah consistency is key.Couldn't have asked for more from Jack last night, outstanding debut.
17 touches, 4 goals. Looked dangerous and classy every time he went near the ball.
Not expecting a repeat every week, has been plagued by inconsistency throughout his career, but a very exciting start to his career in navy blue.
Earned his $60,000 paycheck last night.Couldn't have asked for more from Jack last night, outstanding debut.

I must have passed out. Who’ve you signed?
I would rather be in Sun's shoes right now.
Has he been much better than what he was at GC? His talent always looked good at GC. He didn’t play well against Melbourne, didn’t see the game against Geelong though.Seriously though Rowell looks amazing.
Martin wouldnt have been the same player at the Suns imo. Sometimes it just takes a seachange in a new environment to break free.
Martin has been beautiful to watch.
I only watched him closely last year because of the trade rumours but he seemed to be less motivated.Has he been much better than what he was at GC? His talent always looked good at GC. He didn’t play well against Melbourne, didn’t see the game against Geelong though.
