I don't take the named positions as gospel anymore. I think it used to mean something but we have had some funny ones. Coleman didn't play forward last year.

Coleman didn't play forward in the preseason games.

Coleman didn't play forward in the intraclubs.

I'm not sure what you're concerned about (other than both playing a fantasy game and somehow not knowing basic info about players you've got, maybe?).

He is a backman mate. He became almost an instant lock in our 22 when he was moved back.

Personally I always thought this, I blame the fantasy mob for questioning him being put forward in the pre-season match (he kicked a goal omfg). Just testing my assumption that they don't have a clue.

I think he’ll get a number of goals this year too, but he’s not going to play forward. Based on the preseason games, he’s still coming off half back but just being given a license to GO and get it forward as far as he can - if that’s the goals then that’s the goals lol.

Not a bad idea because he’s probably the best kick on the team, so having him delivering it to our forwards on a silver platter will be beautiful.

We obviously feel our best footy is with with O and Joe tap. I don’t think this is anything new. We just haven’t been able to do it often recently due to injuries. I tend to agree with the approach, albeit I think Fort offers things which O doesn’t and vice versa.
