Not saying you're wrong, I don't have a crystal ball, I just think it sucks that Crows supporters will now identify just about any good player we recruit, regardless of their preferred position, as a "potential midfielder". It says a lot about how bad our midfield is that people are constantly looking for some sort of reprieve.

That's more how football works then a crows thing. Every non KP or ruck role end point is midfield, and every role is inadvertedly developing someone to play inside midfield. Football just isn't that specialised.

I don't think the club is that stupid.

We've likely paid up what Soligo management expects to earn after his current contract is done. Afterall, Soligo (and management) isn't that stupid either.

I shake my head in disbelief that he’s in his first year
His footy IQ is off the charts, which is way he doesn’t rely on his skinny body to play so early into his career.

Doesn’t seem to have much strength at all yet, but it doesn’t matter because he reads the ball so well, also has extreme pace which makes him hard to beat imo.

Honestly think he could develop into a wingman for us.

Seriously is the best small defender in the game right now.
Who’s better than him?

And even if they do get the ball he’s on them so quick.
Sometimes slightly before they’ve got the ball but he does it in a way that he gets away with it.
Such a great addition to the side.

I think a part of his game that is underrated is his disposal. So far this season there has been 4-5 passes under pressure into the corridor that have been sublime while his disposal on the easier kicks is always good. As he gets more experience and confidence he is going to be an absolute jet for us. I hope his little brother is as good!

I'd say Quaynor is. There's a few good small defenders around the league. Max having an excellent first season though, and has a lot of physical maturing he can do.

That Coleman kid at the Lions is pretty handy?

Looks so much like the sort of player Geelong always seem to have 3 or 4 of in their backline.

The sort who ends up playing 250+ games, earns a couple of B&F's, etc.

Yeah two presessons in the weight room and he won't look like the same player.

Loves hitting moving targets coming out of defence! So reliable.

His kicking action always looks a bit odd to me. It's like he holds the ball a fraction too long before he drops it onto his foot? Works though

We have 2 ourselves with Worrell...

Theoretically that should work better as ball drop is 65% the key to a good kick.
