Seems like a loyal kid who's happy at the Cats, wants to play more and probably would have earlier if not for untimely injuries.

Collingwood have the right idea chasing him as a forward. Don't see him ever being an AFL defender, ends up out of the contest very cheaply.

He was caught out of position a few times against GWS but it was also only his 4th game ever as a defender.

I would rather we kept Kreuger, shows something as a defender, he is quick, aggressive and a decent kick. However we do have two KPD prospects in the reserves plus Henry in the seniors. Will get nothing for him in a trade so hope we can retain.

As long as the trade price is not too steep I'm hoping the Pies have another crack at the big boy.

Good age profile for our list in and plays in an area of the ground we are also lacking. Should be good opportunities for him especially if Cox goes.

Reckon it comes down to where he wants to play. He wouldn't be locked into defence at the Saints, but that would be where the opportunities are. Collingwood up forward.

Not a good scenario to the cats. Valuable on talent, required player in the highly likely scenario Hendo can't play on, gone for a nothing pick.

We have a real need for another big defender but not a forward.

He looks very athletic and a real competitor in his highlights.

Biggest issue for Kreuger is staying fit and getting continuity of games under his belt, so that's going to impact any potential trade value if he does ask to leave

Obviously the last 2 seasons have been impacted by covid - scratch matches last year and stop/start VFL this season. But the most number of consecutive weeks he's played is 4 in his first season, with different reasons for the breaks in continuity such as VFL byes & then injury related with knee & concussion issues in his first season

Even this year the only time he played back to back matches was his 2 senior appearances - so while he looked good in his 2.5 VFL matches, injury & covid breaks stopped him playing consecutive matches to see how he'd back up

It would likely be hard to get more than a 3rd round pick for him but he's value to Geelong would be a lot higher than that, just needs a clear run of things
