I can see it being open season on head high bumps when the ball is in play now.

Similar to how players have tackled hard on duckers in the last few weeks.

Geez, Tim Kelly cops a week for a slightly exaggerated tackle, whilst Cripps walks away scot free after sending Ah Chee to Koosbane.

Credit to Carlton for plucking holes in the AFL's argument - but that's a disgraceful outcome.

Either the club is corrupt or the AFL is negligently incompetent. Idk which one is worse.

Exactly. And to think Switta copped 2 weeks for a tackle that didn’t even cause discomfort. The AFL really needs to sort this out.

I hope May 'contests' the ball in a 'marking contest' and runs through Cripps.

In a newly legal way.

Disclaimer: no injury. Just a good legal fair hit.
It wasn't even a marking contest though, it was a loose ball that got up high. It's like running five metres and smashing into a guy like that who is receiving a looping handball and then claiming you were contesting the ball.
It's unbelievable

Really feel for Ah Chee in all of this. In addition to receiving a concussion (fingers crossed for no long-lasting effects), he loses his spot in a top 6 side on the eve of finals.

Meanwhile the player that elected to iron him out with some pseudo tough guy bullshit gets to run out this weekend.
