They're being very, very generous in some of those ratings.

Atkins with a 6?

Walker with 4?

Well there was a clear breakdown between Sauce and the mids, plenty of times his taps went to places other than where the mids were.
Set ups were garbage....again.

Jenkins and Otten 0, Walker 1, Betts and Mackay 2, Douglas 3, Atkins 4, Kelly 5, Sloane 6, Hartigan 7

Jenkins really deserves negative infinity though

Jenkins, Otten and Walker may as well stayed home as they were embarrassing.

Not sure of some of these generous ratings:

Atkins - 6 (should be 2) - like a deer in headlights all day (including, but not limited to, his brain fart with the play on decision)
Talia - harsh at 3 (given the leaking dam that was our backline he did his part - should be 5 if Brown and Kelly are 5 and 6 )
Eddie - 5 (should be 3 if Charlie is a 3 - he was no better)
Douglas - 5 (should be 3 - one of the mids who were non-existent)
Greenwood - should be 2 (hardly sighted in the 2nd half)

I also think most of the 4s are very generous as well (special mention to Mookay and Seeds and Lynch).

Agree with the rest.

I thought Brown was fumbling with a bra strap in the first quarter.

I think our coaches need to get added to the list that failed to stand up.

Our forward line looks brilliant when it's open space, but when it's clogged up we consistently fail. We played with the tallest forward line of any top 8 side in the grand final and could not take a contested mark to save ourselves.

Meanwhile Richmond had the smallest and took plenty of marks in their forward 50.

No point being tall if you don't use it to your advantage.

We simply don't have a plan B for when our free flowing game plan is stifled, we just hope the opposition can't keep it up and we can break out into open space as the game wears on.

All my doubts about our coaching staff, that I'd put aside, have now come flooding back. We knew that Richmond was going to try and bring the game down to their level and we let them.

If we rated our forward in the same manner as horse polo handicapping, I'd say our forward group are +10 if our midfield give us a 5 goal advantage. As soon as our midfield are breaking even or a bit behind, our forward group quickly become negative handicaps. Playing the super slow and cumbersome Otto then makes it even worse.

I thought camerons game was better than rats.

I think this is a really interesting concept and something I've been kind of mulling in my head if there's a way to quantify statistically for a betting system. Perhaps I should look into polo to get a better idea of what you're talking about.
