Bulldogs beat Hawks
Saints can't make finals
Saints go to pub to drown sorrows
Saints turn up hungover Sunday
Richmond win by 15 goals

Saints will know when they run out if essendon is trouncing freo, 99% of that happening. Will be very deflating knowing its a dead rubber. If it's close at half time then I'd expect us to win.

I think its just boils down to (when we win) we play the winner out of Cats vs giants. If West Coast roll the Crows & Giants win. Then we play the Crows.

Now I'm glad we lost to the saints earlier in the season. Means the team is playing to restore pride and we can worry about ladder predictors.

I'm not lol I'd rather have already locked up a top 4 spot already :)

I know it's one game at a time but you can be certain that Geelong are already squealing in the AFL's ear about their "home game" just in case.
If we had any brains at all we would be following suit and be reminding the AFL that we did them a huge favour at the expense of our members a couple of weeks ago (unlike the other big AFL club). We need to be on the front foot and demand that our members can actually get in to view the game...and that means an MCG final if we are playing Geelong.

The afl will not schedule 2 Melbourne teams at the cattery, they admitted that they would've scheduled the h&a game at the G and not symonds had we been better last year. They're not going to lock out 65-70k fans from watching the game.

Once again, how can anyone be confident? St Kilda looked good against North and completely smashed us last time. Those calling it an easy win this early would do well to realise this.
Not an easy win, but a comfortable win IMO. Comfortable enough for us to overtake GWS if they lose to Geelong.

Yup but due diligence. Cut off any potential momentum the brave cats can muster. If there is public outcry you never know what our socialist overlord might do. Just need to put the sob story out there about how many long suffering Richmond fans won't get to see the final just in case.

Does anyone else rate our chances against the Cats from 3rd much higher than an Elimination Final against Melbourne? I feel like they are both approaching 50/50 contests...Which means that we simply must win this week. No excuses. Just win.

If we lose this one, that will destroy our confidence and we'll lose the double chance and be beaten in the first week of the finals by some scum such as Melbourne or Essendon or dare I say it, Sydney

nah - it's a ******* lock. we're going to smash them. Tigers by 44 points, then they'll take that momentum into the finals and go all the way beating Adelaide by 11 points in the Grand Final.

The Killers at half time and a Tiger premiership. I'll need a few days to recover after that I think. Or at least for the hard on to soften slightly so I can leave the couch.

So if we win, the likelihood is we finish 3rd unless Geelong scrape a win against GWS.
Just have to win Sunday, double chance is massive for us.
Prelim is calling.

No, that's not right. They are on the same points (44 each) and the Saints have a better percentage than the Bulldogs.

What we want is Essendon up by 10+ goals at half time against Freo. That will kill their motivation.

Cheers.

How wrong you are
If gws win and we win we go above Geelong on points. I can't believe how stupid people are. That's the result I'm hoping for. Stuff the Geelong win by 20 we win by 20 crap. Let's beat the saints and hope the giants win!!
Are you referring to me as stupid???

Anyway, wouldn't mind playing GWS on their home deck, but would much prefer Geelong at the G.

If we win and Geelong win we could still be third.

I'd be barracking for them over the plastics anyway. I hate that club.
Let's just hope it is a bone crunching encounter either way, with a few needing more than the weeks break to get over it (while we have a nice little walk in the park against the Saints, Jack, Rance, Cotch and Dusty (with 3 votes) sitting most of the 4th quarter out on the bench).

Can only dream.
