Really disappointing finish which looked inevitable after they kicked a few in last , our avenues apart from lynch are pretty limited despite Faull and sims especially showing plenty today . Faull needs to focus on his kicking for goal he has an atrocious technique that looks 50-1 every time he has a shot . I’d still drop him for blight
Was surprised how well pres played and undoubtedly put us right in the game coupled with nanks inclusion . TT and hop played well but both died in the arse . All in all we are def starting to look like a footy team again , despite a fairly limp f50 in terms of potency
10g from 27 shots says it all
More clearance
More contested footy
11 more i50s
10 more scoring shots
And we lose
Fk it all

100% - That would be the closest to having the rub of the green that we will ever get. Pies get that every single week and still complain. Umps were good today - I'm with the "umps didn't cost us the game" crowd. We just failed to execute in front of goals.
in saying that, tarranto gets that free and we win

Faull needs a spell. That’s the only change I would make. Bring in Balta. Sonsie needs a few games to see definitively whether or not he can make it, and everyone else deserves the chance to show how they back up this kind of loss
Reckon I’d drop green for juddy too

The Good

Sims really showed something in the first 3 quarters both up forward and in the ruck giving Nankervis a chop out. Plays the rest of the season in the seniors unless form drops away dramatically.

Banks & Ralphsmith continue to build on their good form this season. Their run and carry, plus ball use are really strong features of their games.

The midfield mix looked a lot better with Prestia injected into the mix, which also allowed Taranto & Hopper to play with a bit more offensive freedom knowing that we were winning the clearance more often than not. McAuliife also had some more important moments as he also builds on his start to this season.

Our overall play in the first 3 quarters was something that we as supporters can look forward to seeing a lot more often over the next few years. The only downside was the conversion once we got it inside F50, but that won't always be the case.

The Bad

The last quarter fade out hurts as getting a scalp like GWS would have been great for this group, but considering that none of us really expected us to be in the position we found ourselves in the last quarter kind of takes away some of the pain.

That's the cruel irony - the most obvious free kick of the day missed by 3 umpires. But they found the tiggy touchwood's like Ralphsmith's chopping the arms when we don't need it.

Tigers do need to ask the Umpire dpt why Lynch is officiated differently.

understand you have a deep dislike of Hopper, but we get smashed in the midfield with out him..
And he was bloody good today
I dislike the way he plays football, if you cant see that than its not my fault.

He cant kick a clutch pass to save his life, prestia showed him how its supposed to be done on close to zero match fitness.

So dont lecture me about the game when you dont know what a mid is supposed to do.

PS turning upto to a contest is not enough in 2025.

I'd keep Sonsie in the team just to piss you all off. 😍
He played well enough until the third that he should stay in. I just hope they say to him, never kick the ball of the ground again when there is the option to pick it up.
He deserves multiple games in a row, considering how Dow played last year and kept getting a run, time to give Sonsie 4 or 5 game regardless so they can make a proper assessment at the end of the year.

Not a lot of positives besides Sims imo. The fact that our aging midfield finally won (first time this year?) isn't of much consequence given they'll all be gone before we're in contention again. Prestia pushed KMac2 out of the centre and we still lost.

The first Sonsie kick was somewhat excusable because he'd been on a long-chase from like the interchange and then remained involved in the play. MRJ has the same problem, always spent because he's defensively covering for our elders who can't run.

some suggesting gray should be dropped because cadman kicked 2 goals when our midfield dropped all its pressure? hes under sized and on game 3 and mixing it with seasoned forwards.

Yep….Gray was solid…the kid had a big job…did very well for 3 quarters for his 3rd afl game …beat his man for 3 quarters

Hard to defend when the ball is shoved down your opponents throat consistently in the last

Ran out of steam….he is a keeper…Will play lots of good ga es for us
