News Rumour? 18 New DPP Players Announced Thursday?

Can anyone confirm the rumour that AFL fantasy will be adding 18 new players to DPP positions? Apparently its mentioned on the AFL Fantasy website

I musn't be paying enough attention, because I can't think of too many off the top of my head [other than a few misplaced rookies]. Jimmy Bartel should get FWD eligibility - after starting without him in any comp this year for the first time I can recall, he'll likely be in my RDT back line come round 9, and Fantasy forward the same week.

Nat Fyfe up forward would be nice .... highly unlikely I'd assume. Jake Carlisle should pick up forward eligibility and will be cheap.

Not a fan of must-have locks like Dusty, Danger, Parker, etc... prefer us coaches having to look for more inconsistent options instead to mix the game up a bit.
Im happy we lost Goddard, Hepp, SJ etc to mid only this year.

Bet the new DPPs wont be anyone super DT-relevant (Swan) as it would be a little bit unfair to current owners (Im not a Swan owner btw, so him gaining fwd status would help me out but I rather not)

Swan is VERY unlikely to gain DPP... however this does make me laugh. Someone argued with me on Twitter that is Watson got FWD status added, then it would be unfair for him as I already had him. If a MID gained FWD status, it's actually a bad thing... (ie. scores would be affected by this). It's actually the opposite, as you've pointed out, that he can now be picked up by others in the forward line, for a lot cheaper.

For the record, I wouldn't imagine that Watson will become a forward either.

If any solid scoring players will gain DPP status, surely Dahlhaus is at the front of the queue as a FWD/MID and Higgins as a FWD/DEF, perhaps Merrett AND McGlynn as well as FWD/MIDs. Not too relevant players like Hurley, Howe and Carlisle DEF/FWDs. The rest would be rookies etc Langford DEF/MID Buckley DEF/MID Gleeson DEF/MID Impey FWD/DEF Griffiths DEF/FWD Cunningham MID/FWD

Higgins and Dalhuas gaing DPP is not harmful, its always nice to be able to swing defence and forward or forward and mid when making changes but there arent any game changing players that we can jump on
