Rockets now 19/41 (46.3%) from 3 and probably gonna win from here.

Jazz have the best 3 point shooting in the league at 38.7%. Rockets 22nd at 34.8%.

I'm fascinated to see how this pans out. They are basically +14 on points from 3s compared to the season and +9 compared to the league's best percentage at their league highest shooting rate.

They've been going at 15.3/43.8 per game, what's realistic from here on in? 18/45? 19/50?

I just tuned into the end if the Rox game.

How did it work playing small ball?

Who guarded AD?

I really want to see the replay of this one. LeBron, Kuzma, KCP and Rondo combined for 1/19 from 3. The actual * is that? Green and Bradley hit 6/8 between them. Great perimeter D or just an off night for those first guys?

Lakers crushed the points in the paint but 38-37 rebounds and just 4 blocks isn't anything to write home about when you have LeBron, AD and McGee in the starting 5.

Rockets 4 vs Jazz 5 would be an interesting playoff matchup.

that was the best boxing out the Rockets have done on the boards for a long time. We have been crying out for them to do that all season

its hard to block shots when the other team is shooting 3's

If he fails with you guys it's pretty much over for him as a big money guy, if Warriors can't get the best out of him it probably isn't there.

Also it makes next season interesting. Looks like you guys and us are leaning right in on small ball.

Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Green and Looney is a decent spread of size.

Interested in seeing who we finish with though. No Iggy to fall back on.

I don't know if it was part of the planning but Harden having to defend in the post actually improves us defensively as he at least battles down there, when on the perimeter guys just go right by.

Lack of decent shooters off the bench and no real decent PG/Playmakers makes it hard to see them making much noise in the playoffs, certainly not getting the past the loaded Clippers, even if the Lakers have HCA, which I doubt come season’s end.

Mook Morris would have been a perfect fit for The Lakers.

Anyone else feel sorry for D'lo?

Gets drafted to a s**t show Lakers, puts up respectable numbers for a guy that made his debut at 19. Punted after two years so they could get Lopez who left after a year and Kuzma who is no better and has just as much of a punchable head.

Gets traded to a s**t show Nets, plays 81 games in his second season there, puts up 21 and 7, makes the All Star game as an injury replacement and leads the team into the playoffs. The Nets + Kyrie (no KD yet obviously) are really no better than the 2018/19 version.

Gets traded to the Warriors when people thought KD would just sign as a free agent and D'lo might be a third option SG and you think hey that's good business by GW and not the worst result playing under Steve Kerr and basically filling in for Klay for a year to see if he can mesh with Steph and Dray etc. Steph gets injured and he plays the season with a bunch of no names and puts up 23.6 points and 6 assists a game.

Gets traded to the s**t show Timberwolves who are the only team challenging the Warriors for worst in the West (with a much better track record of doing so) and have been giving away any starting 5 players without hyphens. Will probably combine with KAT, Crabbe, Culver etc. and help the TWolves become a respectable 40 win team within a year or two then get punted again.

By the numbers he joined a team that won 21 games, then a team that won 20, then a team that is on track to win 19 and now a team that is on track to win 25. Ouch.

Rox has a huge advantage as well - they knew exactly what the Lakers were going to do.

Lakers not so much

It will interesting to watch how it all plays out

You missed the bit where he gets paid $117m 🤔

The acid test will be a poor shooting night. NBA best is 38% from 3, you can't shoot 45% every night and you certainly can't shoot 45% and put up 50 attempts every night. If Harden has another 1/17 shocker teams like the Lakers should mop that up then capitalise with the size advantage at the other end.

Defensively Harden is the two way threat. Ideally you want to double Harden and make Westbrook shoot from deep. Easier said than done.
