His poditarst (or however u spell it.) gave them to him because they are a special fit for him and it only came in 2 colours. Orange or Black and he didnt want black. He actually wanted red boots but again only came in Orange and Black.
Andrew Lovett has the same boots but doesn't need to wear them

Welsh and Winderlich wore yellow boots last year in the clash for cancer game.

Completely agree, the 1st time he wore them the commentators were going on about them and still are, annoyed the hell out of me, a mate in my team has them so I had seen them before and no one has carried on about his like the commentators did about Reimers'. They actually do come in red, I've seen C.Ronaldo wearing them in soccer however not sure if they are available here yet!! would look awsum with our strip

Already happened. In the lead up to the celebration match, the papers picked on Brett Burton for being the only one in black boots.

ummm.....hate to burst peoples bubble, and i'm not saying anyone is lying, just misinformed.

the podiatrist comment..........not true.

i have worked in the footwear industry and very closely with podiatrists and most brands and i know 2 things for certain.

1. Podiatrists wouldnt suggest those boots and those boots only. If he had any serious problems he would be in lethal ultimates and they are nothing like those boots. the pod could have said a number of boots that would be suitable, but nothing about them specifically

2. There are more colour options than just orange and black for those ones.



hate to sound like a know it all, but just thought that if you were hanging your hat on that or telling other people why he wears them it could be worth knowing.
