Who would your top 5 ruckmen be at the moment? Mine would probably go in this order...

1. Sandilands
2. Cox
3. Kreuzer
4. Clark
5. Mumford

Ryder and Hille a bit stiff to miss out though.

in no order:

Sandilands
Cox

Top 10 Ruckmen in the league, according to the Champion Data Player Ranking (after Round 11, 2010):

  1. Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle) - 118.7
  2. Kepler Bradley (Fremantle) - 106.8
  3. Angus Graham (Richmond) - 102.2
  4. Patrick Ryder (Essendon) - 90.5
  5. Dean Cox (West Coast) - 90.4
  6. Matthew Kreuzer (Carlton) - 88.7
  7. Shane Mumford (Sydney) - 85.4
  8. Ivan Maric (Adelaide) - 80.0
  9. Ben Hudson (Western Bulldogs) - 79.2
  10. Mark Jamar (Melbourne) - 78.7
Despite the CDPR being the best all-round statistical measurement of a player's impact on the game (due to all the factors that go into it), obviously statistics aren't everything, so make of that what you will.

Is this the list of one ruckman clubs that have some dude rucking 95% of the game?

Sandi is the standout, the rest aren't really worth mentioning.

and thats why ithe CDPR is useless

Kep should easily be number 1

Curious onyacoxy, where does Gardiner rate on that listing?

I have a feeling WCE are about to hit some form, and I think Cox will come under some notice again.

Depends how you measure it. Adopting a more traditional view, which means a greater weighting on effective HOs, then I wouldn't expect Ryder or Hille to feature that prominently.

As far as what they do around the ground, well, they're easily top 5.

Overall, I'd say Sandilands is an easy #1 probably followed by Cox. After that, Ryder and Hille would be fighting for positions with Mumford and Jamar.
