Mainly here so we can enjoy the LOLs afterwards at the end of 2023, but also an interesting discussion point.

I’m in genuine two minds and can’t call it, but who do you see finishing higher in 2023?

Who is positioned better from a list/team perspective?

Let the games begin…

Mod Note: This is a thread for BANTER and giving and taking a bit of the mickey. Enter at your own risk!
However this does NOT mean name calling, personal abuse, injury trolling, swearing or gifs/memes with swear words in them. Keep it clean and above the belt.
Thank you.

Footy goes way back than just a selected hand picked 2 decades.

Funny how 15yo nerds like yourself just take what their hating Dads say to them for fact and ignore any history and a full trophy cabinet.
Yeah, but I still saviour great moments

Pies, sure, but calling the Dogs relevant is laughable
Build a time machine so you can experience the glory days again then lads!

Well yes. Oh I'm sorry. Did you want a participation award?

Compare this to your deluded 'dropped at birth' take calling Carlton 'minnows'.

Definition of Minnow - A small/insignificant organisation.

101,000+ members. Prime time kings. A grade stars on every line. Exceptional culture. Broken finals drought. Room for upward trajectory. One of the footy's big moneymakers.

Of course means little with no flag to go with it, but the signs are promising. Only a fool would suggest otherwise.
There's heaps of them here.

I saw them all from 87 and have strong memories! No time machine needed except for maybe 81/82 when i was 4 and 5yo!

You seemed to have built one already, boldy claiming that Carlton wouldn't win a flag in my lifetime.

Just what makes you so sure there?

You are superhuman after all. Collingwood's 2023 flag bestowed their fans magical powers of seeing into the future.

Which of our clubs couldn’t make it through COVID without financial help from the AFL?
Lol a Dogs supporter talking about being propped up financially. Oh dear and you would be in the WRFL struggling to beat Spotswood right now if not for your cash the league has given you peasants over the last 50yrs.

Gee how quickly some parts of history are conveniently forgotten when it suits ones agenda. Dogs have been one of the poorest VFL/AFL clubs since the the 1950s.

Yep, you've got us there.

Teams with such credentials cannot possibly be regarded as a minnow...

Can't take one without the other.

All the reasons make for promising signs.

Maybe learn to not pick apart things too much in desperate search of justifying deluded takes. It will do you wonders in looking less foolish on here.

Indeed.

How dare anyone reference the 'hand picked two decades', which just happens to be the most recent two decades in the history of time.

But all good for a Blues poster to come at Pies posters with the gotcha that is 1976 to 1982, despite Collingwood playing in four Grand Finals in that time...

You lost all GF's and won a wooden spoon , and it was in reference to a pies supporter who invited us to pick any era where collingwood wasnt successful so don't get your knickers in a knot.
And if Carlton snare the 24 flag, guess what the window is going to be narrowed down to ?

4 losing grand finals yeah? 5 if you include the draw

Take your own words as advice.

History. That is all it is. Even the last 20 years you Collingwood fans are constantly creaming yourselves over.

All your 'argh so close' moments are not awards. They have amounted to nothing.

I have faith in you here. You'll come to graduate after this one of few lessons needing to be learned.

And it was 5 grand finals, not 4 . And they couldn't get the job done in any of them. Glorious days indeed

Our 'argh so close' moments over the last 20 years have amounted to nothing.

Oh, except two flags.
