Would question port and dogs

Overestimated port they will get a harder draw this year

Underestimated the dogs who will bounce back with an easier draw and too much talent.

Trying to factor in some shock rises and shock falls for my early ladder. I guess we'll have to see how the fixture and trade period looks like to get a more accurate idea of what is going on.

I cant see carlton finishing bottom 6, however, can see them challenging for the 8...only if we receive some form of combo with the below:

Devon Smith
Matthew Keneddy
Tom Rockliff
Saad
Pick 3
Gibbs stays

Surely this would be the 'midfield depth' issue solved either way?

With a strong midfield and already a strong defence, can only see carlton winning the close call games where we have been in front in last qtrs, to be overridden by a better side on the day.

If someone how the mighty blues could acheive all of the above, SURELY! We could challenge the top 8?

LOL at the lot of you Predicting the Fremantle Dockers getting the Wooden spoon or even getting bottom 2. After the shocking season Freo had in 2016 getting 4 wins, I knew Freo were going to get 6-10 wins in 2017. I said in 2017 the only way I would accept Freo getting bottom 4 is that they get 7-8 wins.

Don't mind getting bottom 6 with 7-8 wins again in 2018.

I will do me predictions after the drafts, trades and fixtures

What exactly does that mean to you. Are you talking about sacking Goodwin if you finished 9th-10th?
Not necessarily sacking Goodwin, but missing out on finals again next year would be considered a failure. We've improved our ladder position and team for the last 4 years so the next step in our progression is to make the finals. In saying that, I'd be a bit disappointed if we just limped into the top 8 and not make an impact in the finals so I'd be aiming for a top 6 finish which is not beyond us. If we do miss the finals in 2018, I don't think Goodwin will be or should be sacked, but there's no doubt a lot more scrutiny will be placed on our team and him going into 2019. I don't think that will happen though and think we will have a positive 2018 overall.

Jesus, not even Lions fans would be that optimistic.

I think we'll be either 1 above Carlton or 1 below Carlton, can see both sides climbing the ladder together in the next few years.

Gotta laugh when you see people do predictions and have their own team in the top 8 and the premiers or a top 4 finisher in the bottom 8.

Melbourne are next to no chance to finish top 4, be lucky to make top 8 at best.

Just some early thoughts given how Fremantle finished up the season. Probably will do one after the fixture release, trade period and draft.
