Let's bring in someone to debut. Always exciting for the squad and the fans when a new bloke gets his first gig. Need to breakout this dip. Wouldn't mind bringing in Logue for this reason as well.

Out: Brayshaw - Colyer
In: Blakely - Bewley

Hughes - Hamling - Ryan
Nyhuis - APearce - Wilson
Langdon - Mundy - BHill
Walters - Hogan - Switta
Matera - Taberner - Cox

Lobb - Fyfe - Blakely

Tucker - Cerra - Conca - Bewley

Fyfe cleared!
Lobb to play forward and rotate with Darcy - Stretch Bombers backline

Very surprise by the MRO, but we always are.

They must have thought if Gazza gets off so must Fyfe.

I though Fyfe cleared with a fine, and to get one week Gazza 1 week as he left the ground. Guess two finds would have wiped his Brownlow hopes.

Swap Colyer with Cox.

Cox/Tabs/hogan give no defensive pressure. Can’t have all three in..that was evident yesterday. Cox should purely be back up for those two.

Hogan is a very defensive forward. He's a great tackler, look at some of his highlights.
He just hasn't done it in purple yet!

TWO GAMES? Oh wow, that might mean he hits a dozen Essendon players this year!
I think we all know you are most worried about Taberner who generally plays his only good games for the year against you lot.

Now he is playing ok most weeks, I expect him to kick 10 on the weekend

OUT players not performing at their best ; Hogan , Hill and Conca .
IN players that have performed at their best for Peel .
Special Note :We need selectors to make the hard decisions on team balance and rewarding players that have had a full preseason and are pressing hard at Peel. Carter , Banfield and the exception Blakley .
Need to upgrade Carter in the mid season draft, exciting player hope we don't coach it out of him.

Why? Duman is the next in for his position and by some distance.

I highly doubt a 19 year old who made his WAFL debut a month ago and has been injured a lot of the last two years is anywhere near being ready for AFL footy.

There’s nothing wrong with players not playing AFL in their first season.

What I expect though
IN: Blakely
OUT: Nyhuis
I hope your right but i'd add Cerra to Brayshaw and give them both a rest. They have been great, but its a long year and they should get at least 2 breaks plus the bye. We have the depth to do this.

IN: McCarthy, Blakely, Darcy, Duman
OUT: Cerra (rest), Brayshaw (rest), Cox, Nyhuis

This is how I would have the team start this week and see if we can get off to a better start!
B Hughes, Hamling, Ryan
HB Duman, Pearce, Conca
C Langdon, Tucker, B Hill
HF Walters, Lobb, Switkowski
F Hogan, Taberner, Matera
Fol Darcy, Fyfe, Mundy
I/C Wilson, Collier, Blakley, McCarthy

Why would you bring McCarthy back after he was dropped and hasn’t had a game of WAFL to get back into form?

He just hasn't done it in purple yet!

Couldn’t be further from the truth this year though.
I’ve never seen a lazier forward in terms of defensive chase and pressure in the past couple of years than what Hogan has been dishing up. It’s run, lead, jump, spill the mark then stand with hands on hips.
It’s like I’m watching a local leagues obesely overweight full forward in action.
Somethings up

Actually you hope I’m very very wrong as I said I only expected one change.

I’d almost go the other way and drop Taberner before I bring in McCarthy tbh. We just look so damn slow at times. I think we’re too tall already up forward but the talls offer much more than the alternative smalls.

Realistically we’re somehow too small up forward as well with all our smaller forwards being short people by AFL standard.
