Midfield is about getting the ball. It doesn't matter at all what you're height is.The question about that for me is do we actually want to play him as a short nuggety midfielder when Serong is already there.
How short is too short in the middle?
Can you carry two sub-180cm midfielders for a significant proportion of the game?
I think maybe yes but then if you add in Schultz, Switta, Western and co you start creating a problem by reaching critical midget mass.

It looks pretty bogus but to be fair to him, he was the only media personality to correctly predict our fall in 2016.Braddy Johnson said we are winning a flag soon

Well at least we finished above the reigning premiers?
I tell you what. If anyone had offered that at the start of the season we would all be falling over ourselves to take it.
It is my friend, an icy cold Dingo from the back of the fridge. For those of you who haven't tried it, it's a very drinkable little lager. You Mr Cheese have made some very valid points. I hope the beer is cold.
Fair enough.2016 to 2021 are not on my high lights reel as successful seasons
This is not a pissing contest on who is the best coach.
You seem to think any criticism is a knock on Longmuir.
11th spot failed yearI'm a bit curious how you classify it as a failed year when you didn't expect to play finals, and yet we were playing for a finals spot in the final round?
That to me would indicate we are on the right path if you entered the year thinking we weren't good enough to play finals?
25 years of hearing that and nada . My excitement levels understandably are not aroused by Johnson and his off the cuff comment.
11th spot failed year
....
11th place is not something we as fans should be proud or happy with.
He could be the steak knives in the Cerra trade if we didn't match.
That's not how it works. Our next pick before the bid happened, was pick 49. None of those blokes were ever coming to Freo.another reason to hate Carlton (they bid on him). KyPickett, Mitch Georgiades .... sigh
Pick 49. Geez he’s a bloody good pick 49 that kidThat's not how it works. Our next pick before the bid happened, was pick 49. None of those blokes were ever coming to Freo.

TBF, he cost us 49 plus our 2020 2nd and the 1st round discount. Lets be generous and say we'd have taken Chapman with that pick anyway then he is still a pretty decent pick ~25.Pick 49. Geez he’s a bloody good pick 49 that kid
If Hughes is delisted I’m writing an indignant letter. INDIGNANT I tell ya’s!Indeed. One can only assume that Bell must have decided to can Hughes as he is rookie listed and uncontracted I think. A real shame, as for all his faults Hughes always gives 110% and never shirks a tackle, way better list depth option than Tucker, Acres or Bewley.
And beat them.Well at least we finished above the reigning premiers?
I see your points. I have been a Freo supporter for a very long time so the bar or expectation is very low. Do I want them to win every week ? Of course. Do I expect them to win every week No i do not.The actual place on the ladder isn't all that relevant to me, more the number of wins.
Would you have been happier if we finished 9th on the ladder? Considering you didn't expect to play finals 9th is the highest possible finish otherwise - and we finished with the same amount of wins as 9th.
I don't think we should be proud or happy with 9th, but I'm also struggling to reconcile the logic of someone entering the season expecting we weren't good enough to play finals but also pronouncing that finishing equal 9th is a fail.
It’s all good bro , no one smiles that wide unless they know things

Last weekend when we kicked 8 in the first quarter. When was the last time we had a forward line / team that we as supporters would be confident could kick a winning score?
but can he play hbf?Pick 49. Geez he’s a bloody good pick 49 that kid
He’s not that bad. He needs a pre season that maximises his strength at getting the ball and making decision out of the stoppages. He’s in the same Fyfe file of doing too much and trying so much.I would like to apologise to everyone I argued with defending Lloyd Meek this year
I WAS WRONG
