0.3 McLean would make you say he was awful he just needs to kick his really easy set shots like he did today

Maybe, but I thought a lot of what he did well was constantly get in front of, which means worse case you bring the ball to ground.

Buller was pretty average, but what he does do is get to the front , so even if he ****s it, we have a chance to crumb

Good news im going next week and never seen us lose in Melbourne live (except 2014 and 2024 grand finals..)

Well **** me. We won a close one. Great win. Really hard pressure. Not rewarded for a lot of tackles because those idiots in Green can't seem to interpret holding the ball. Had a few calls I hate today. The umpires who is blind sided making an incorrect disposal call. Three of them against us, none against them even though they were blond sided plenty of times because the umpires are ****ing hopeless. Two of those decisions gave them goals. Otherwise the Maggots were ok.

All played well today. Wil was on Ryan most of the match and Ryan wasn't a game changer. But Will battled hard and got into the game in the second half. He could have iced the game. People can moan about Buller if they want but he did his job today. He made a contest and brought the ball to ground. When needed to stand up he did. I can't fault any of the players today. They all contributed. Gulden ran the show. Probably be captain for years to come after Mills.

Buller was pleasingly serviceable.

Which is important, as he’ll he needed with Armatey gone yet again.

Buller tried to compete to no great effect. At his best, he’s a non factor. Not good enough, I’m afraid.

I’m surprised he’s still on the list, which points to our lack of KPF depth beyond the main 3 (2 of whom are injured and McLean who is only ever serviceable).

It was overshadowed by some of the efforts and jobs.

But Jordan Clark had 13 disposals, half of which were kick ins. The man that gives them all their drive from the back half. Campbell another scalp

Losing Papley and now Amarty for likely several weeks has effectively killed an already difficult season... we dont have the replacements for them two.
It looks like we debut Datoli. Don't know who takes Amartey's place. I think we could change the way we line up. Use Wil as a FF. Bring in Ladhams. Although Green could be close to a debut as a Forward/Ruck

He’s absolutely no world-beater.

But he did enough to help the overall forward structure & made a contest.

Grundy bog for me against a very strong ruck duo. Jordan smothered Serong and kicked two goals on him. Melican and McCartin were excellent and Hamling stood up at the end. Wicks still impressing. Mclean finally showed how he can play if he gets in front and at least get a spoil if he doesn't mark it.
If Amartey is out we will struggle he makes a huge difference to our structure in the forward line. Papley really didn't do much before he was injured.
Not convinced by Sheldrick quite yet and it's a worry his fitness is not at the required level after being in the system for a few years.
Good to get a win and should have got up last week. Still make life hard for ourselves and we should have won this by four or five goals but it's a win and a pretty consistent effort across the team.

Campbell was good especially early with his pressure, just wish we could utilise his attack more and he had a right foot.

We seemed to wait til late in the game when Grundy was near death to really give significant chop outs

Amartey when he plays this year looks really good, but the injuries and suspensions are frustrating for the poor bloke

Let’s keep in mind buller is in his 3 game and I thought was really good makes a contest and can mark and if does that ever week he can stay as far as I’m concerned. As I’ve said before you have a fit amarty/ Logan there is no need to waste money on flogs from Carlton .

Serong had 11 disposals, his lowest disposals in a game since Round 4, 2020… his 4th AFL game.

Jordon destroyed him
Jordan also kicked 2 goals as well. Bolton was the one who got off the leash in the second half. He had no disposals at quarter time and 3 at half time. He doubled that in one play in the third.

He provides a contest and doesn't get beaten one on one much much.

We don't need him to be a world beater, he just needs to provide a contest.

He does that and keeps a spot on our list for depth.

Some good delivery too. Poor miss though.

The contrast between his left and right is massive, but he isn’t alone.

I think he played a good game, almost vote worthy for his role work.

Still think we could unleash him more

Ideally he would just be your depth player and you need those, should stay for sure
