**** no...which he's not doing. Just get rid of him, bring in finch and make him captain. He's already captain for the ODI team.
yes, cause one day form always translates to the Test arena. Jason Roy has been unstoppable this series for example.Should be this for sure. Paine is really grinding my gears. How the f can they not pick Carey.

Fatigue for a start .. would be very difficult to combine captaincy with recovery needsHow come?
Yea there's something there with him. With Head and Wade that could be an ok mid order. Not great but ok.
A spinner i dont mind so much but still not preferable, i feel it influences their decision when to bowl themselves or sometimes to the detriment of the team when to not bowl. Id rather its taken out of their hands and given to a batsman. Just personal preference. How come?

100% - he just looks so solid with his technique and his confidence is growing by the innings. Bar Smith, he has certainly out performed our more experienced and fancied batsman to date. He wasn't even starting XI for the first two tests! For all the flak the selectors cop, surely they deserve a bit of praise for their faith in Labuschagne. He's been remarkable since he entered this series - perhaps THE success story of the tour.
If we had lost this, he could have been the one to make way for Smith, with Khawaja moving up. Winning definitely changes things. More inclined to give him another Test and drop Khawaja or Wade.Would probably give Harris at least 2 games, same as Bancroft. Especially if it's already 2-0.

We could win the series 4-0 (yes please!!!!!) , and you'd still read, "Yeah but if we were on our game at Lords, we could have made it 5-0."Even when we’re on the verge of retaining the Ashes the nuffies still want to swing the axe - including the captain.

I think with us finally having a pretty good bowling group, there’s a good chance that they will be rotated through during long tours or home series.True but WK is extremely fatiguing too.
I think Cummins would be a good option, or even Lyon (minimal batting, generally not bowling day 1-2 then generally tying down an end).
People who want to axe the captain potentially 2-0 up and retaining the Ashes have probably never played in a team environment before or lifted a cricket bat. What a deflating and destabilising move. I cant believe Ive even read it this morning but then I remember what website I'm on.We could win the series 4-0 (yes please!!!!!) , and you'd still read, "Yeah but if we were on our game at Lords, we could have made it 5-0."
So we should ignore poor performances because we are winning?Even when we’re on the verge of retaining the Ashes the nuffies still want to swing the axe - including the captain.

????Because his father-in-law is one the worst sport co-panelists ever seen on TV.....
At the moment in the middle of a winning Ashes campaign, with our captain and wicket keeper - absolutely yes.So we should ignore poor performances because we are winning?
You having a go at my Italian friends?Selectors are not spud diggers
