In all seriousness, we're not going to be able to get a top tier or even average ruckman via trading, we need to set our eyes a little bit lower, and cox is on the outer at collingwood.

Mate when all our tall forwards are injury prone and our rucks are non existent id take an average cox if that's all that's available
Nankervis now finds himself in exactly the same position on Richmond's list as he was with us when he decided he wanted to leave for more opportunity.
Chol & Soldo are clearly better ruckmen & offer more agility, especially Chol. He is exciting to watch & has a stack of improvement left in him.

Chol and soldo are not better ruckman right now. Chol can mark and if he continues to improve may be on Nanks level in a couple of years. They offer different things but nank is the best all round.
Well no.. i dont care how you rate him, for free maybe but they have plenty of quality youth but are premiership contenders.. if the tigers could improve by moving on someone who has never played afl im not sure how that can that be 'Nuts'

Pittonet is 24yo and playing well this year - doubt the blues would let him go easily
Tom DeKoning is 20 yo and played 3 games. He won't be ready next year, but he would get games next year - pick 30, 2 years ago,, so hes two years ahead of drafting one

Im sure he is, as are others. Why would a team at the top be bothered if a young mid, this one having played zero afl, moved on. You can get mids anywhere. yah, they arent gonna de-list him but its not "nuts" to consider trading an asset.

He wouldn't be as cheap as you think. Was taken very early, and a lot of clubs were after him. Don't see Richmond in any rush to trade someone they are developing for a specific reason. I'm all for trading this year but there has to be a price point and our first pick is completely off the table. Take that pick to the draft.
McLean is undersized as a ruck.. He and Amartey (both 197cm) are too short to be a first ruck.
Carltons first round pick won't be used to match bids on the academy kids?? It'll be used to trade in a player, (p8ish will get a very good player) maybe an inside mid, maybe a half back.
We'd jump at Pittonet if included in the trade
My logic behind this is Paps may be traded for 2- 3 players,, a Ruck, an Inside mid and a KPD. If we got two of those three positions filled with very good players then we"ll be better in 2021.
