Milestone Match

Daniel Lloyd 100th Game !!

We got Lloyd to his 100th!! I’m hearing his son is a jet 😜
Is there a chance Cogs misses with concussion? Kingers mentionned concussion in the presser… with the 12 day protocol he would miss…?

this is going to be a hard game for us against a Port side in Adelaide, that will be hurting after their comprehensive loss to Brisbane yesterday. Port (and Collingwood) were the only 2 sides that smashed us during this season. The market has us as distinct underdogs at $2.38 (Port are $1.59). Whilst we have a 1-1 record in Adelaide this year, Port have a superb 10-3 record in Adelaide - with 2 of these loses to Adelaide and the other to Collingwood.

We also haven’t a good recent record against Port, having lost our last 4 matches against them - our most recent win against them was in July 2019.

However, we are playing inspired quality football, and under Kingsley we are not giving up and finding ways to win. The boys are full of self belief and confidence, and the return of Cognilio will hopefully boost our team to a win and a Preliminary Final.

The morale over on the Port board is grim.

Hopefully we have answers for Butters and Rozee - these two guns absolutely bring it every week and are at a level where when they're on it's hard to stop them. Let's hope we learnt from our last outing.

Although we lost convincingly to Port in round 22 it was one of those games where I thought if we play them again we won’t have any issues accounting for them. Similar to the swans game the week before. Everything just went right for them and we were missing Daniels and Bedford. They showed us everything they had in that game

Their captain Jonas is out, Williams and possibly Mackenzie. I’d also have a slight watch this space on Dan Houston - coped a knee to the head in the same contest that Mackenzie hurt his knee and was slow to get up. Given Port’s history I hope it’s looked at by the AFL.

It's the return of both Daniels and Bedford that will really boost the team against Port. We badly missed them last time.

Has the MRO reported on our game yesterday?

from the AFL website

”The Match Review findings for Saturday's finals are in”

then it mentions the Butters incidents, but nothing else. The use of the plural for “Saturday’s finals” would indicate nothing from our game at all.

breathes a sigh of relief

Last time their pace in the midfield tore us to shreds. However I can see it easily going the other way where our size gives them nightmares.
Again I like our changes from the last match up structurally with Bedford and Daniels doing damage and putting pressure on every entry.
Callaghan is genuinely a star and he's played 20 games. The guy is massive and kicks like Josh Kelly. His run will add a lot.
Port fans will be nervous coz they lost a game but wait till Wednesday and they'll be telling you we don't stand a chance.

Kingsley mentality is strong. We have a chance
