Haven't been here for years, though. The West Indies have got at least one more tour to Australia pencilled in. They're back again next year for more Tests plus ODIs and T20Is. Not sure what Cricket Australia sees in the Windies other than 80s nostalgia. Give Bangladesh a go.
He'd be good in bazball. He’s one of those batters that wants to hit the ball every time, he doesn’t shoulder arms often.
He’s out there to hit.
Just wait until we come up against a decent opponent - the public wants a contest, and the crowds will flock to the South African Tests. What’s the crowd figure? Day 1 of a test match and the joint looked empty.
Nice work turning great cricket grounds into footy stadiums or moving to soulless venues with drop in roads.
We’re at the stage where India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan consistently get bigger crowd figures in Australia than our own national team.
Is cricket dying a slow death here?

SAs batting is better than the Windies, plus they bat deeper with Rabada/Jensen/Maharaj being able to hold a stick, this Windies like-up has no middle to lower order. If SA can make 300-350 and give their bowlers something to work with, we could have a series on ours hands, still a big ask though.Their batting is likely to implode, I'd argue that not a lot separates the Windies and South Africa batting line-up right now apart from Elgar being a bit better than Kraigg.
Their bowling should be much better though (although due to injuries Windies are basically fielding a 2nd XI bowling line-up).
24k which was the highest Day 1 crowd for Australia v WI at Adelaide since 1982What’s the crowd figure? Day 1 of a test match and the joint looked empty.

Was tongue in cheek, a few posters on here complain regularly about how lucky he is.Thought today he was flawless
Why cause he tonned up against a big average windies side? Head still is far from locking away his place, his big test is coming up against better opp in s.a then the real test on your imo.Is this for real? Head has locked away his spot long term.
The only positions realistically available are openers and the WK
Head's averaging near 80 since the start of last season's Ashes. Why cause he tonned up against a big average windies side? Head still is far from locking away his place, his big test is coming up against better opp in s.a then the real test on your imo.
Everyone is scoring runs against windies
(Except for Warner but he is cooked, hopefully his last test here in Adelaide)
Head was horrible (not alone I might say including our number 3) in the sub continent he was a dead set walking wicket. Maybe he’ll get runs it will be his biggest test because he won’t get true bounce to use his eye. Far from convinced though and it’s why we should take a Renshaw/Handscomb,etc type to cover
That's like the knock off nintendo games where they don't have the rights to the players names.Sewnarine Chattergoon
Brenton Parchment
Xavier Marshall
Narsingh Deonarine
Isn't this what most people suspected from the start?Reading between the lines on Warner's manager's statement yesterday, it would appear the entire team at Newlands were complicit with sand paper gate.
Warner, Smith, Bancroft took the fall and shut up.
This is somewhat uncomfortable for Cummins I'd suspect
biggest myth going around that renshaw bats well v spin he had two tours overseas and got 2 50's when batting first ,plus petes poor form overseas got him dropped
YesIsn't this what most people suspected from the start?
How does it look on cleanskin Cummins if Warner was to say he was in on it, given the strenuous denials and all?Looking at who played that day only Khawaja and SMarsh have plausible deniability.
Batted well in India on rather turning pitches, and uses the sweep well. He’s better than most. I am far from advocating for Handscomb his “form” a lot is at Junction which is a road. However as a reserve bat, it makes sense
