We played well for half a season. Thats it. Have been poor to mediocre on a good day since then. That’s it.

We were dominant then we did have some bad weeks on the run home, can't deny that, but you don't finish first by being a little lucky and average. anyway getting off topic

Pretty frustrating display. For most of the game little right had happened, and by the time things started moving we just kept shanking it and lost composure.

And yet:

1. Had a heap more scoring shots.
2. Easily won the clearances and contested possessions - something that hasn't been easy for us recently.

With even 2% more composure we would've won, and perhaps quite comfortably. Does feel a bit weird that the team got savaged over that, but I guess this was the kind of game that we had to win to stay afloat.

Biggest positive was either Grundy or Francis's last quarter. At times it almost felt like he was going to win it off his own boot.

I want more hard nosed play. We play like a team who sleeps with light on at times today we watched the ball on the ground waiting for someone else to get it. The in and under w clean hands and the impetus to get the ball first just looks second rate to me. Unless it’s it’s out in open we are worried about contact and rushing bs handballs or kicked. It’s like we have a team bought up in the era of soft parenting….

How many times we fumbled multiple times only to see port pick it up first time and go… Watch the effing ball until it’s in your hands ….and take a tackle….youdont need to get rid of it every damn time and turn it over.

The bs clearing kicks before Rioli goal kind of summed up how we threw this game away.

Some of the behinds today were just dumb rushed kicks when time was there to give off.

We play like a team who sleep with the light on...

And I still don't know how we only lost by less than 10 points - we were that bad. Maybe that says more about Port than us, I don't know.

Our skill execution across the ground was appalling, turnovers and out of bounds were being handed out like lollypops.

Another incredibly underwhelming game from McInerney, too. Should be one of the first out when we get some troops back. Doesn't offer us much defensively or offensively. He's just...there.

Imagine if he's actually improved and this isn't just a flash in the pan. Would be amazing to have another good forward option

Fair play to Francis - he did better than expected , have said since the Dons days he is a forward but also thought the selection sucked, but he looked great.

Not sure he does it again , but if he is ever going to make it, then it's forward

I feel comfortably saying our forward structure is one of the worst in the league as evident by the 21% inside 50 conversion.

At this point i would only be confident of a win against 3 sides

To be fair, Hamling has barely played forward since coming back into seniors. But Logan was very, very average yesterday in reserves. We need to stop rewarding mediocrity, and make every player earn their positions in their team, no matter what their level of potential is, or who they are. I thought we started to do that with Parker last year, but sadly we haven't seen much tough love since.

I nearly cried when McLean dropped that one with about 90 seconds to go. Yes no one expected it to get to him, but was an absolute dolly

I think you are putting too much on what was expected of Logan. The delivery was atrocious. If you want him to mark in a pack of 4 or 5 then it ain't going to happen most times. If you put the ball to the backs advantage then it isn't going to happen at all. The Reserves were nersrly as bad as the Seniors, except they won by 2 points
