I have always wondered why there is a hesitancy to bowl spinners at the death. If spin can be economical at the start and middle of an innings, why can't it work in the death overs ?Anyone know why Short wasn't given a 4th over to bowl... After Khan took 2 wickets, the last 4 had been taken by the spinners, yet we then bowled f or 5 overs of poor pace, which cost us another 40+ runs. Could have only been chasing 105 if Short had the next over after Khan took the 2 wickets.
2/14 off 3 overs but lets bowl Stanlake out @12.5runs an over and Nesser @10 an over... perplexing.
Especially considering that slower bowling is the go to strategy for most at this time in the innings.
