Gibbs is gone next trade period if it doesn't happen today.

Doubtful, club has been working hard to put measures in place to keep his partner happy. Sticks has been involved as well. Don't think the trade gets done and Gibbs will come out with a statement that will make supporters happy!

Is it all just white noise though? I think the real reasons are being hidden with the usual family stuff

Judging by the Lyons trade we are way to easy to deal with and carlton is the problem.

You wanted to pay him less than $200k a year, you pushed Lyons out (we did something similar with Tuohy and got unders). Surely Adelaide won't lose midfield depth this year, what a disaster.

Judging by the Lyons trade you are offering a player who you only rate as a third round draft pick and then acting shocked when our list manager says it is not sufficient to trade one of our top 3 players

Crows fans realise its 3 years remaining on the contract? Meaning why would we let him go for less next year? Just because you want something to happen doesn't mean it will.

Because he'll be a year older and a year less on the contract.. why wouldnt he have a lower value after that.

True I have not seen much of Gibbs work lately and only going on highlight reels ( all outside stuff )... makes sense he has stepped up given that Judd and Carrazzo have retired. Carrots was a prolific ball getter.

I am OK with that as the club can negotiate it properly and we will have 2 years to go on his contract.

happy if Gibbs stays unless we get overs.

LOL no, you essentially offered us pick 13 and a fringe player worth 43 for Gibbs
It was Adelaide who tried to poach Gibbs and used his family situation as leverage to orchestrate a trade in which you wouldnt have to pay overs as you normally would for a player like Gibbs who has 3 years left on his contract, you told him you would take him and now it looks like you have gone back on your word.

Its a win - win for Carlton.

Justin Reid and Stephen Silvagni both need to be shown the door by their clubs if can't get a simple deal done. Getting annoying

Right. The success of a list manager is based on your patience levels.
