Lachie's last quarter against South was exhilirating. Clean with the ball, hit the body hard and long penetrating kicks into dangerous forward places.

If he can carry that form over into this game, happy to have him in.

and his first half was full of fumbles and spilled chest marks.

Lachie's last quarter was good but gee, he did not have safe hands in the first part of the game. Like a few of our younger players Lachie has talent but he also has some issues in his game. Hope he does well.
The home of football that has Cricket Ground in its name. Imagine it being called the MFG.

Sounds like a harmful food additive.

It’s clear that his best position is in defense and his form has benefited from spending a month there in the reserves.

Rioli was a natural inclusion but it is good to see Lachie Jones get a guernsey this week.

I don't know if he has been playing well and down back but it is interesting that he has been picked to replace Jonas over an older vet like Clurey.

Perhaps it is form, perhaps the coaching staff has an eye to the future.

Agree, they need to stop trying to turn him into a midfielder or a forward. Why do the coaches persist in trying to turn players into something they’re not and play players out of position.

Since debut he (Lachie Jones) has shown bits of capabilities but he has never had form at AFL level.
He has once I'd say, R1 this year v Brisbane. With his size and speed he was valuable. So we know he can do certain roles at AFL level.
If he does get into the final team it'll be as a 'horses for courses' pick against Richmond's big bodied midfield.
