Mackay.
He'd make a better ruck then he would an outside midfielder or defender.

Mackay.
Crouch is in his mid 20s and in our top 3 mids at the club, why should Pedlar get a game over him just because it’s a rebuild (assuming Crouch is fully fit here)? Why is Talia suddenly over the hill at 28? Good senior players are still critical in a rebuild as well and I also think the two you mentioned (along with a few others) will get games this year.No thats your ridiculous logic. If we're dropping Butts and Berry we should be playing Worrell and Pedlar - thats getting games into a rebuilding squad, and finding out who is up to it and who isn't.
Pretty certain they will play Himmelberg and Fogarty up forward this week. Walker is injured and unlikely to play. They normally play injured seniors but the risk of worsening his calf and being out for a longer period should likely win out over stupidly playing an injured player. Lynch should be left out as well due to his injury but I wouldn't be surprised if he fronts up again.Crouch is in his mid 20s and in our top 3 mids at the club, why should Pedlar get a game over him just because it’s a rebuild (assuming Crouch is fully fit here)? Hately for Frampton and play Fog more up forward would be the change I’d make this week. I would be tempted to debut Worrell and give Hamill or Berry a rest as well.
err...because both Crouch and Talia are injured and unlikely to be available in the next few weeks?Crouch is in his mid 20s and in our top 3 mids at the club, why should Pedlar get a game over him just because it’s a rebuild (assuming Crouch is fully fit here)? It doesn't help that there aren't many alternatives kicking around in the SANFL. We have Hately, Worrell & Berg, after that the cupboard is bare. Pedlar is probably a couple of weeks off, while he gains match fitness in the SANFL. Strachan won't play unless something happens to ROB. All of the rest of them are either kids in the early stages of development, or players no longer worth persisting with (Mackay & Davis).err...because both Crouch and Talia are injured and unlikely to be available in the next few weeks?
We have nearly a dozen players in the 22 at the moment with injury clouds hovering over them, but we are gonna keep playing them because they put their hands up and we value continuity and meaningless wins over common sense.
In a rebuild year.

Davis it seems has the recurring foot issue that's plagued him off and on for most of his time with us so he's likely gone at season's end.It doesn't help that there aren't many alternatives kicking around in the SANFL. I think he was probably gone even without the foot injury. Davis & Mackay will likely be the first players named, when the club announces the delistings at the end of the year. Moving them to the rookie list was a pretty solid indicator of their status.Davis it seems has the recurring foot issue that's plagued him off and on for most of his time with us so he's likely gone at season's end.
The game wasn't over last week though, we were actually behind on the scoreboard.

What's the point of that specifically?Unless Jones shows improvement he will probably be dropped to the rookie list like those two were. Just checked the roster and he's the only one under contract we can do that too. The rest are OOC or to be delisted as stated above.
Very possible. We may even pay him out and delist him completely. They didn't have flexibility to do that with Gibbs, in the 2020 salary cap. They do have room to do it in 2021.Unless Jones shows improvement he will probably be dropped to the rookie list like those two were. It frees up a position on the senior list, which can then be filled via the ND. We need to make a minimum of 3x ND selections each year, and it's not easy to identify 3 players on the senior list who are likely to depart at the end of this year. What's the point of that specifically?
He has a contract the Club and he have signed off on?
Would love to try something different like this. It's freaking Tasmania, who cares what happens down there.fu** I hope they drop Frampton and bring in Big Red, just so I can read the melts.
we are blooding youth, it’s going well.
Rest Lynch, Walker, Berry and drop Frampton.
bring in TT, Newchurch, Hatley and Pedlar. Bring in a smallish fast forward line that has players that will rotate through the mids and wings.

Same $$$$'s
The balance of the team should not centre around 1 player.
That stat alone means nothing unless you do a breakdown of 1st, 2nd, 3rd year draftees and debutants played by each club.
I agree that he is not a like for like replacement, but I think it would be worth trying him in a version of that role to see how he goes. We would need to restructure the team anyway and guys like Ned and Murphy would also be required to push up the ground to assist with the 'connector' role.Because Lynch's role is reliant upon his ability to gut run all day. Fogarty is barely fit enough to run out the first quarter in the midfield, there's no way he's fit enough to cover the kms that Lynch's role requires.

Why try and force a square peg into a round hole, when we have other pegs which are at least oval or elliptical in shape?I agree that he is not a like for like replacement, but I think it would be worth trying him in a version of that role to see how he goes. Who would your suggestion be to play the Lynch role if he is injured and needs a few weeks out?Why try and force a square peg into a round hole, when we have other pegs which are at least oval or elliptical in shape?
That just proves the point that the statistic of the number of players used by a team provides very little indication of the nature and experience of those players. No thats your ridiculous logic. If we're dropping Butts and Berry we should be playing Worrell and Pedlar - thats getting games into a rebuilding squad, and finding out who is up to it and who isn't.
I'd be tempted to bring in Worrell this week, into our back line, then push Smith further up the ground.Who would your suggestion be to play the Lynch role if he is injured and needs a few weeks out?
No, it reflects a poorly performing but stagnant 22 when off a spoon you'd ordinarily expect more players to be getting cycled through.
The next big thing in the AFL ruck stocksWho's big red? And who would melt, just about every poster would accept anyone other than Frampton right now. Wouldn't be a single melt. And who's big red?
