I got the feeling that Tex won't come up for this week. On 5aa last night they said that he still is getting nerve pain down his arm

Out
Frampton
Mackay
Doedee (inj)
Murphy - I just don't see it with him. Just the next in the line of honest triers we worship. Kicked half our goals mind you...
Rowe - has some ability but I'm worried it's not enough. Is a good SANFL player the ceiling? Admittedly tough to judge our forwards with minimal F50 entries but I'm not sure the upside is there to persist

Kelly won't get dropped and does ok defensively but I just cannot stand him. So limited in terms of skill. A handbrake on the team. Yells stupid bullshit at his team mates after making errors himself and trash talks the opposition even when we're getting destroyed. I wish I could list him as an out. I hope he gets traded

In
Fogarty
Lynch
Worrell - Doedee out gives us a perfect chance to give him a proper go
Cook
Gollant (maybe McAdam if he shows something in the SANFL today)

F Thilthorpe Fogarty McHenry
HF Sloane Lynch Berry
C Sholl Keays Seedsman
HB Smith Murray Hamill
B Jones Butts Worrell
1R O'Brien Laird Schoenberg
INT Pedlar Kelly Cook Gollant (or McAdam)
Sub Davis

I'm fully aware that Murphy and Mackay won't be dropped but I can dream
I'd keep Murphy as sub.

Can come in, play a variety of roles to a decent standard

McHenry doesn't deserve a dropping, especially after his game last week

A few weeks of what he showed last night in a row and I'd consider it, but he's been one of our big improvers this season overall

I think he can be a long-term player for sure. Is he a lock going forward, though? I don't know

Frampton, Davis yes and ? on Rowe.

McHenry and Murphy cannot agree.
[/QUOT McHenry has shown improvement this year - he's too slow..always being out run, too short, doesn't have elite skills - like him but think he's touch and go. Murphy the same not high enough ceiling - I mean, if you want us to be an also run team, sure, that's why we have had MacKay for 75 years.

Can't believe people suggesting Ned to be dropped

He’s a really average player with no defined weapons other than endurance and some heart …. I wouldn’t drop him though as we have no one to replace him with

I would drop Rowe though , other clubs are putting their speedy running half backs on him and taking advantage of him and the team

If we are running around with the same small forwards in 2 years time we are going to have little improvement in our side

at one stage last night 16 I50 tackles to 1 …. Not only do they lack skill and speed as a collective but more importantly they are the worst in comp at pressure which is crucial

If we drop McHenry, we also have to drop Berry and Pedlar who performed about the same

All three to stay in the team
Agreed , we need to look at giving Rowe a break now that his offence has dried up in terms of score involvements as he doesn’t give much else

Kozzy's out of contract next year, isn't he haha

I'd give up a lot for him as it currently stands

Brandon Ellis went from Richmond to Gold Coast

I know it's doom and gloom in here right now, but money talks
Somehow I don't think Richmond were as desperate to keep Ellis as Melbourne will be for Pickett

He's certainly on his way to becoming this boards whipping boy post Mackay.

Its very unjust too, the kid is having a good season, and certainly has a place among our best 22 going forward as a role player.
I completely don't understand it

He plays on the edge, we want that in a player especially after a long period of playing chior boys like VB, Radar and DMac

His improvement has been significant this year in a role that is hard to play in a struggling team.

He is one of only a very few players that can actually stick a strong tackle, Ned brings players to ground who a much bigger in size

Ned's body of work this year has been really encouraging

It's just one example. Charlie Cameron another (GF team to wooden spooners), hell I'd even argue Zac Williams

As I said, you need to put an offer he can't refuse in front of him, but it's possible

They might be regular players but it will mean we aren’t much of a side
Neddy especially is tracking fine now he's got his body right, Murphy if anything should be playing down back with squirts through the stoppages...should be Brown's heir apparent.

You'd know better than me, but how's his shutdown work been in the past? Murphy's that is

Dean Bailey medalllist in his 1st season playing HBF in the Snaffle so I guess you could say he was decent?

Drafted off that.
I remember him being very good that reserves season, but I can't pinpoint whether that was as a pure rebounder or with more of a lockdown focus

Either way, I tend to agree he's best used down back

Very efficient at both.
