Typical Crows to give an absolute hack like Frampton another chance in a position he has trained in for all of five seconds while our genuinely talented juniors are forced to toil away endlessly in the SANFL

Big old YUCK

We going with Butts, Murray and Frampton then?

I guess it works this week against WCE’s trio of tall forwards
Yep, Murray the slowest of the 3 .....Frampton really showed a naturalness for DEF last week

Except Worrell isn't a KPD ......Frampton can be

So we're now assessing that Frampton might be a defender after seeing him play there for 1 quarter in game that was over at that point?

What have you actually seen of Frampton as a defender to suggest he might be better KPD than Worrell? There is zero form to go on

Do you ever actually watch a game ......it was the fact he did so well, given as you say he's had all of 5 seconds training as a DEF

He did so well did he? I don't think so.

He played as an unaccountable defender racking up cheapies behind the ball in what was effectively junk time.

If that's all it takes to make our side as a defender these days you may as well delist Worrell and McAsey and Borlase on the spot right now and stop wasting their time

Do a Search of my posts and I've been saying Frampton as a DEF for 2 months now .......again you fail to really understand footy, it's all about watching a player and seeing their failings and possibilities

Frampton is the worst KPF I've seen on our list .....no tricks, straight line runner .....but it's the straight line aspec that see's so many FWD's become Defenders

Worrell, again if you watch ....I mean actually watch a player, he plays like Scott Stevens .....meaning he could be an adequate KP player, but a very good utility ...3rd tall, 3rd fwd

It could free up Doedee to be utilized either as a FWD or even as a Mid

Really good move .....was crystal clear that he's much more likely to have an AFL career as a DEF than a FWD
This shouldn't be read as a criticism of Frampton's efforts in the position, just the notion of playing him in defence. But he looked abysmally unsuited to defending an opponent.

He competed well and was effective when Essendon's entry suited him. But there were multiple times when the ball found his direct opponent unmarked, with Frampton miles behind looking totally mystified by the concept that his opponent might make a lead.

As it did with every other Defender .....those floodgates had well and truly opened B4 Frampton was moved .....but his positioning wasn't too bad, he was certainly reading the game better than when he was FWD ....and his body language said he actually felt more comfortable not being the target in attack

Look it's a trial .....he has no future as a FWD or a Ruck ......so why not try him where his game suits better .....that doesn't guarantee anything BTW

Frampton in defence will probably work as well as when we tried Sellar and McKernan in the backlines. We've got nothing to lose by playing him there though.

It's great for tanking that's for sure
