So, previous changes after losses from last year.

Round 2 (after loss to North Melbourne) In: Hartigan. Out: Van Berlo.

Round 6 (after loss to Hawthorn) Unchanged.

Round 8 (after loss to Western Bulldogs) In: Milera. Out: Mackay.

Round 9 (after loss to Geelong) In: Van Berlo, Lyons. Out: B. Crouch (injured), M. Crouch.

Round 19 (after loss to Geelong) In: Mackay, Seedsman. Out: Walker (injured), Henderson.

Elimination Final (after loss to West Coast) In: Smith, Sloane. Out: Henderson, Ellis-Yolmen.

So history says we'll do the Knight/Lever in, something like Menzel and maybe Kelly out and nobody is held responsible for two weeks of shit effort. I wonder when the breaking point is?

I've finally gotten a majority of people to accept that Matt is what he is, an inside accumulator with no hurt factor, just a solid workman, a middling utilitarian piece in a large puzzle filled with holes.

Sooner or later people are going to have to accept that whatever ceiling they thought Brad had after his first year, he's never going to be that player, to the point that his remaining positives are far outweighed by his negatives - but as per, the club remains the last to realise this, because the AFC doesn't even know the meaning of sunk cost fallacy.

For Brad to be an effective AFL player - he'll never be a great one - he needs to do some soul searching in the SANFL, and decide whether he's finally going to develop the attitude and the work rate required of a player with limitations, or 'retire' to state league football, because he can't coast on talent anymore.
Really? Who has accepted what?

My changes would be

Out - Menzel (regardless of injury), Mackay (I just can't take it anymore), Otten (great guy but is not in our best 22) and Kelly (see Otten).

In - The MIGHTY THOR (because he is), Lever (we really missed him), Knight (providing his buttock is better) and Beech (it's time).
Love the changes. Nailed the outs imo.

Prior to any reshuffling (eg Hampton or Douglas) it leaves a defender down so if Knight isn't ready we could go for Wigg. However, if Knight is ready I'd just rotate the aforementioned players back as required.

I think we might go back to our original plan this year which was to play Dougie in defence with the occasional squirt in the midfield. Things will start to get interesting when/if Doedee, Cheney and The SEED are ready to go. The other possibility is to play Laird in the guts. Based on the last two weeks Rory Laird is our best inside mid but can we afford to move him from defence?

I believe we have to see if Wigg is AFL worthy because Poholke and Gallucci are likely to overtake him pretty soon. I wouldn't bet my house on it but can he be worse than Mackay when the whips are cracking?

It will be an interesting couple of weeks ahead.

Haha Oh yeah great one, the all seeing Oracle of the Adelaide Big Footy Board, most people don't take much of anything you say seriously given it comes through eyes laced with personal hatred of the Crouch Brothers. For your information I don't think anyone has ever inferred Matt was an out and out superstar as you seem to always try and intimate.....what he is is a very good and consistent footballer that makes our team better by his presence.

Almost everyone can acknowledge Brad is struggling a little to get back to the player that was runner up to Jaeger O'Meara in the 2013 Rising Star Award after playing significantly less games than O'Meara but fair minded people are prepared to cut him a little slack due to his wretched run of injuries ever since his breakout season. Most of us are hoping with fitness and more matches he can fulfil his undoubted potential unlike you hoping like hell he fails.

Crouch's AFL career got off to a slow start with injuries and indifferent form limiting him to just four games in the first half of this season.
However, the 19-year-old Victorian did not miss a game from round 14, producing a stellar run of form in which he did not dip below 22 possessions in a match. In 14 games, he averaged 24.5 disposals and, like O'Meara, showcased a rare combination of hardness at stoppages, outside run and elite foot skills.

He accuses me that I only read what I want to and yet he keeps telling us he's only responding to the consensus we think Matt is a superstar.

Knight wasn't dropped. He's injured. He had a bad game because he got INJURED and had to play on.

Was he? I didnt realise that. Same injury as the previous week?

I Could have sworn I saw "omitted" on the team sheet.

Whatever.
I never like to let facts get in the way of a good rant.

9 news is suggesting that Thommo may be back next week. Tom Lynch also said something about it as well.
This will probably be very unpopular on BF but I wouldn't mind that idea TBO. I know he's slow these days but I'm sick of our MF's getting smashed at the contest. Like it or not get ready..... Thommo's comin' back.

If you had to choose between Mackay and Thompson to play against Brisbane, who would you choose?

Can I chose to go in a player down instead?

I'd rather start the game with 3 on the bench than send the wrong message to the players by giving either of them a game.

Nothing surprises me with our club anymore! Wouldn't be surprised if Thommo played along with any other 35 year old broken down footballer that was available on our list. The crows would not be a destination club imo for a young draftee as they know they won't get played.

If Pyke's solution to the last 2 weeks is to bring back Thommo then he has lost me as a fan. At the moment, my blame is (fairly or unfairly) directed towards Camporeale and Clarke, giving some benefit of the doubt to Pyke. But this decision will remove any doubt that Pyke will not win us a flag.

Even Cornes says we are soft, we need someone with some hardness about themselves thommo is the best of a soft bunch

Thommo won't be able to use his 'hardness' when he's 25m away from his direct opponent
