It's a tough comparison but Selwood is pretty apt IMOI like his composure, good vision and decision making.
Reminds me of Selwood in his early days.

When I watch him I see a bit of Paul Kelly.I like his composure, good vision and decision making.

And Zac Taylor is playing very well in the guts for the SANFL team.Don't forget CEY is back at WWT!
But seriously, don't forget about Cook, he could be anything.

What over leadership, good kid, great family?Maybe we should focus on playing ability first, and forget about their height. Speed, skill, decision making and evasion are much more important than size IMO.
Is making many others look very average. Some of his work in that last quarter was exceptional for a first-year player. Really understanding now why we were so keen to give him another contract before a ball was bounced
Kelly had a lot more breakaway speed, and wasn't a great kick IIRC, but a super, tough player and awesome overhead. When I watch him I see a bit of Paul Kelly.
He’s coming along in leaps and bounds plus he doesn’t do the dumb things. When I watch him I see a bit of Paul Kelly.
I think comfortably now.Does he knock of Rachele for best first year player/ emerging talent award at the B&F ?

One of the commentators yesterday..brereton i think..was enthusing on just how good he was playing. Don't worry he is starting to get noticedI hope he's enjoying the anonymity because it's not going to last forever.

There is a bit of recency bias there though. Soligo didn’t play from rounds 3-8, and he certainly hasn’t had the same impact on games as Rachele did in the early rounds.I agree with above, he is in the box seat for best first year player at the Crows now.

Elijah Hollands had a crackerSurely, SURELY, he gets the Rising Star nom this week. His "Body of work" has been great, and there wasn't really a standout this week like Cumberland last week.

Yes, he slipped my mind. Hopefully the fact we had the win gives Soli the edge.
It's not so much that his short kicking is good, it's more that he has the coolness and poise to see that it's the best option: he's a footballer. The case in point is the short pass to Fog. Most of the rest would have done a panicked thump towards the goal in hope of the miracle matchwinning play.I think I had slept a bit on how good this guy's short kicking is. Damn he can hit a target!
Exactly. It’s the sort of kick a Richmond player would do, to spot up a leading forward in a margin of space. It's not so much that his short kicking is good, it's more that he has the coolness and poise to see that it's the best option: he's a footballer. His pass to McHenry last week was another good example of this. So much poise under pressure.Exactly. It’s the sort of kick a Richmond player would do, to spot up a leading forward in a margin of space.
I’m so used to our bomb to the goal square that it took me by surprise. Then I realised it was Soligo and it made sense - he is very good at finding team mates 15-20m away whilst under pressure.
