News OFFICIAL: GHS traded to Gold Coast for pick 59

59. Geelong (via Gold Coast George Horlin-Smith, via Brisbane pick swap, via Geelong Lincoln McCarthy, via Carlton Darcy Lang)

- We received it last year when we traded out Darcy Lang

- It took a short vacation from us when he went to explore QLD along with McCarthy but it didn't want to stay away for long as after a trip to a 4th team it has returned to us

It also makes our trades of McCarthy & GHS can be seen as a 3-way trade: [nice explanation]

Just on pick 59. If Horlo (with expanded horizons ) returns to GFC as an assistant coach one day does that mean pick 59 finishes up at Kardinia Park?

Would love to see an interview with George, especially if he has any regrets leaving cricket behind.

It's an amazing story - if he had chosen cricket, there's a great chance he'd be in Pakistan today as the Australian Captain.
