If he was to request a trade will he be set only on an SA club? Is there any chance he could look for a fresh start at a non SA club? We need another quality small forward to support kozzy. We also have plenty of inside mids to suit essendon in a trade. I'd back our much improved medical team to get his body right.

Only a year ago your club was throwing around offers like Ollie Wines or pick 10. Now this.

How much longer is it going to take them to figure out that Dodoro's pigheadedness does more harm than good?
I dont know how many times it has to be said in this thread for Port fans to understand...

Essendon was willing to trade fantasia last year, in fact they were a fair way down the road in coming to a deal. It was Fantasia that backed out at the last moment to both Port AND Essendons surprise, though for sure we took it better as we still rated him highly at the time.

Port got burned/left at the altar and now dont want him at all which is understandable, and ultimately might have meant they have dodged a bullet. But this Dodoro 'pigheadedness' justificafion being the reason this trade didnt happen is bullshit and isnt based in reality.

OK, so we're clear, judging a team based on their win loss record over an entire season is 'stupidity', but judging them off of one game is a solid argument?

If we're better off judging teams off of one game, how about I get to pick the game this time? Why don't you go back and watch the 2011 Power defeat the Crows in Round 4?

No, in fact taking that 'one stat' and judging the crows over the year is entirely relevant, it's been a terrible year. But to extrapolate that to be meaning they are the worst team in history is not thought out well enough. You are judging them as the worse in over 100 years, you have completely rearranged your argument in the comment above.

It's not even relevant now, the crows are not winless. So presumably the argument is over, it's moot.

Band 1 is straight after the 1st round pick. Band 2 is end of 1st round. Band 3 is back end of 2nd round and band 4 is start of third round. You can go on guessing what clubs might or might not do but if a club wants him they wont need to cough up too much to trigger band 3 or 4 compo
I think that's wrong.

Band 1 - after 1st Round pick
Band 2 - start of 2nd round
Band 3 - after 2nd Round pick
Band 4 - start of 3rd round
Band 5 - after 3rd Round pick

Its almost like in one game Geelong knew they had an opponent they had to be on their game against, and in the other they could cruise around in 2nd gear and bank 4 points with little risk of injury at the end of a compressed fixture.
You clearly didn't watch the Crows and Geelong games, because that's exactly what didn't happen.

If he still contracted, he won't be going anywhere... as no club is going to pay overs for a contracted injured player.
I think Essendon would have to give up more to dump the contracted salary, wouldn't they?

I love how often this year is described as unprecedented, and yet people still want to compare the Crows (and other teams) to past sides.

Teams in hubs, no training, constantly being interstate, multiple games in a week - it's a year that will always have an asterisk next to it.

Don't think the Crows will be looking to salary dump if we are looking to target an uncontracted player through the PSD.

You literally compared the Crows to Port in 2011 the post before.

I made that initial comparison there in response to the Kane Kornes lead narrative being spun by Port supporters on this thread and others, that this crows team is the worst ever team in 120+ years. This comparison was just an example showing that there have been plenty of worse teams, not to say Adelaide isn't poor. Surely you can see it is not a crows fans lead narrative?

Port were miles worse in 2011. Almost killed the club. Who loses by 25 goals?

The Crows have to be careful they don't win too many the rest of this year and lose pick 1.
Who loses to a team that loses by 25 goals? Oh wait, Adelaide does.

Also the results in 2011 didn't almost kill Port. The financial problems and lack of resources that led to the 2011 results is what almost killed the club. Oh and Port were terrible because they were broke with no money in 2011, the Crows are flush with funds and backed in to go without AFL help this year, and they're still terrible.

What team loses a Grand final by 119 points?

Poor Orazio must be wondering what happened to his thread! Hijacked by crows and port fans revealing in each other's misery!

At least he knows not to go to Port.

History making even....

The 2007 AFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Geelong Football Club and the Port Adelaide Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 29 September 2007. It was the 111th annual grand final of the Australian Football League (formerly the Victorian Football League),[1] staged to determine the premiers for the 2007 AFL season. The match, attended by 97,302 spectators, was won by Geelong by a margin of 119 points, the biggest in VFL/AFL grand final history. The victory marked Geelong's seventh premiership win, and ended its 44-year premiership drought.

Hopefully both teams have the good sense to give him a wide berth.

Doesn't mean much like I said percentage doesn't count in a g.f 🤷 you win or lose.
Sorry back on topic.

Depends how cheap ess would give him up ?
Can't see port wanting him after last yr but Adelaide should low ball dodo and see what happens.

Pass

We have Tyson Stengle showing plenty of promise and Shane McAdam starting to really take off now he's getting up to AFL fitness and speed.

Fantasia with his history of soft tissue injuries including "old man" calf strains, too many red flags.

Fair enough .

Essendon should just Pay out Raz. he's shown how good he is at getting injury prone. either that or feed him to the Kangaroos, they'll kick his ass into gear
